Compromise

This is a new thread to talk about what you think will happen in the future about SimCity from if there will be another expansion pack, SimCity 5 or even the end of SimCity altogether. This is replacing the SimCity 5 Official Discussion Thread to make sure that all other topics in this area are definitely obsolete and to widen the discussion. I couldn't find a game like this in the forums currently so I decided to start one. The idea of the game is simple. You say who you think will not post after you in this thread and if you are correct bunnies for you but if you are incorrect then better luck next time. Remember these rules... - The two post rule applies in this game. - Don't say people will not post after you who couldn't without breaking the two or double post rules. - The member you think is not going to post after you must be a real ST member and not banned. - Try and keep this game fun by mentioning members who do post in forum games. - Don't edit your post after someone has posted to make you correct. The forum software can give this away. - Have fun! Okay lets start. I think Duke87 will not post after me.

If you are running one version of the original SimCity (i.e. German) and another for Rush Hour (i.e. American) then weird things happen. These include the game not starting, crashes, not been able to change in game panels and other things. Note: US and UK usually work okay together. Its the language difference that causes most of the problems. The only real way to solve this problem is to buy the same version of Rush Hour and the original game. SimCity is very cheap these days and will never cost you much. Also for certain updates make sure you get the correct one for the version of the game you are running.

I am just going to post a bit of information over this interesting new feature as not everybody understands what it is. You will notice at the top of the forum index there is a little area called private topics. Here if you click "new topic" you are asked who is going to be allowed to view your new topic and you select a few user names of your choice. After that you make the topic just like any other and it is then posted in the private topics folder but only you, the users you selected and (I think) the admins can see it. This is a useful feature if you want a forum style chat with a group of people. Bear in mind that the creator of that thread unlike normal can delete there topics and do a few other things.

I just thought of this game and thought it would be fun to try it out. In this game you simply give the person who has posted above you a member label which reflects what they do on this website, it can be custom or generic. But please remember the following rules... - The two post rule applies in this game. - Do not give a person the same member label they have at the time of posting. This will stop this game becoming spam. - When giving a person a member label they must always be positive and never rude or offencive. Moderators reserve the right to delete posts that violate this rule. - Please think when giving a member label weather it is generic or custom. The member label should fit who they are and not randomly made up. - Avoid giving the same member label to the same person twice especially in a short space of time to keep this game productive. - No hints for member labels please either, you know the rules about that and they apply here too. - You must provide a translation for non-English language member labels. - Have fun! The chances are it was dirk who added that warning and I doubt that he was expecting this sort of response. I don't blame him for doing it since cleaning up other peoples mess is frustrating but I agree that something like "Attention all members:" should be added.

Good start with the regional views and flags. I would also recommend you save pictures in jpg format.

However I think in general most religions including Christianity are quite caring about the environment and although most fundamental holy books were written before the thought of global warming general beliefs would point toward global warming been something worth to think about.

If I had to to join the armed forces I would try the best I could to stay with the air force but its good to see your happy where you are and finally ding what you want to do, serve your country.

I apologise but I am unfortunately too busy to help other people with there tutorials currently. Hopefully some other SHS members will be able to do it instead.

Yes dirk has slowed down a bit following his illness and I think he is in less of a hurry now which is fair enough. Its going to be interesting when this is launched.

It is slightly out of date with the new STEX moderators. In a while it should be updated again.
