  1. Hello guys, this is my first comment/thread on Simtropolis, so far I was only a passive visitor, but now I have a strange problem, and I really need your help guys. First of all sorry for my english - I will try my best. Second I read a lot of thread in here and on other pages about my "no job" problem, but I haven't found any solution yet. I know about the commute time problem, I have NAM so my problem isn't about transportation (I think). The problem: I have 2 cities in my region: 1 city around 130k pop (I-DI, I-M, some I-HT), and one more about 30k (lots of commercial, only I-HT), next to each other, connected with train, highway, avenues. Everything seems fine, I have profit in both, great demand for almost everything except industry, and the cities are stable. If I zone residental anywhere, they will definitely find job, and start growing. Image1: The 2 cities in the region and the place of the planned cities Image2: Taxes and other informations on City1 (Industrial city) Image3: Taxes and other informations on City2 (HT and commerc. city) Then every time I try to start a new city (next to one of them), I have no job on my residentals from the start! I know about the R$$$ problem, and I'm trying to keep them on 20-30% of total residentals, so that's not the point. If I have R$$ or even R$ in my third city, they have absolutely no job.I zoned next to them commercial and industrial zones. The commercial zones growth fast, service and office both, but there was ZERO demand for ANY kind of industrial. And the commercial offices and services were empty. There was no traffic, no workers (tooltip said), only no job. When I connected the city to the highway system, the no job sign disappeard everywhere, and the residental zones started to grow. To a small point, where the no job appeard again at this time because the commute time. I tought it's because the a 2 other cities so I choosed another point at the region far from this cities, without ANY connection to existing cities, only 1 to to an empty city because of freight. Happens the same. I started from the very start, mostly low-wealth and some medium-wealth residental normal taxes around 8-9% for everything. There is a few industrial unit but there are no workers but no job signs. They only want to work in commercial businesses, and only a few of them. Image4: What's happening in the third city? Image5: WTF Why is this happening? And why there is a tonns of commuter between the 2 other cities, if they have proper job for their sims? This makes the commute time from 15 to 50 (when the commuting started between the 2 cities I had 15 commute time then I connected the highway)? There is no problem at the other cities, I can zone everything, and the thing going just fine (except the mass travelling between the 2 cities) If you need any more information, please just tell me. I can't start another city with any population
  2. No job in another way? Stucked

@Z1: Thanks for the advice, now I understood the situation between the 2 city. Because of the taxes, city A holds almost all of the R$, R$$ and industry, and the B only have commercials and way too much R$$$. That's why the commuting flow between cities. I moved the whole I-HT industry from city B to city A, then the commute time in city A dropped from 50 to 25-30. Now i'm in a big trouble, since every commercial job is in City B, there are a tonns of commuters for these jobs from city A (except the industrial, I moved that), and also there is a lot of commuters from city B, what can held around 12k R$$$ job, but I have 20k so they need city A. I don't know where are they working (there are only I-HT, I-DI, and 13k commercial) but they definitely do. The third problem (about a new city) was a "complex" bug I think because of the tax situation, and some regional stuck. I deleted all the cities except A and B, changed the taxes, started again on a clean map, and voila: there are R$ and I-DI demand again in the new city. Thanks for the tips guys this is my third region in a month and I can't really "plan" the things, because always happens some surprise what I can't understand. Is there a way from prevent big commuting between major cities? I'm afraid to connect the new cities to these 2. Anyway, thanks again!
  3. No job in another way? Stucked

Okay, I can't grow any $CS because it's instantly upgrading itself to $$ in every city, even in the separated one. @Monomass: Yes I know about this, but as my post says, I have no jobs in a city without any connection (only simnation) so there can't be any problem with the way because there is no way out. And I checked: no one using that road to left the city.
