1. Very nice update! I like the marina - is it west along the cliffs, or east across the Kilroy Bridge? Also, I like how your smaller towns are nestled in the middle of the trees and have clearly-defined borders, without the sprawl of a larger city. The row houses are cool too, especially how they are not on the current main drag of Spring Valley. To me, that is very realistic of some American towns - the older sections aren't always on the current main drag through town. Bravo on another great update!
2. Nice photo effects! I hope everyone made it home safely. Those torrential downpours are no fun when you're out driving in them!
3. Wow! Once again, you hit it out of the park! 40 awesome pictures of a great region! As always, I love the way you sculpt your cities and the thoughtful descriptions for your images. You've picked some great buildings and mods, and the cities are all very realistic and inviting to look at. I especially like the way you've managed your highways and railways. It's neat to see how you've designed the major roads to be easily accessible but surrounded by green and "noise reducers," and how you've integrated the trams/light rail in your cities. Church Street looked pretty cool, too! Also, I have to ask - is the John Burnell in Arlington named after that guy who narrates "World's Wildest Police Videos"?
4. It looks pretty sweet from this preview! I like the GLR-road interchange. Nice!
5. I like the story - it's a neat twist on the CJ! And of course, the screen shots of the roads and traffic on the way to City Hall were nifty as well. The sketch of the ground rail was a bonus, too. I'm looking forward to the next part of the story! Oh, and any teacher with a Camaro SS definitely has good taste!
6. Outrageous indeed! I especially liked numbers 3, 5, 7, 8, 11, 13, 14, 15, 17, and 18, with 13, 17, and 18 being my favorites. Keep it up - it's always a treat to see an Auburn update!
7. Felixruhe - Part 2: Random Pictures From Around Town

I just discovered this CJ today. Very cool stuff! It's all enjoyable to look at, and I especially like the road geek work! It's also nice to see a CJ with a Dutch flavor. I went to The Netherlands for the first time last December on a business trip, and I really enjoyed it. Your CJ reminds me of when I was there. Keep up the great work!
8. Update 8: Street Expansion

Woo-hoo! An Auburn update! I must say, GreekMan, your CJ is the only one I'm looking at where the first thing I do is open every picture in its own tab, return to the main post, and scroll down slowly to read the story and look at each image's tab closely. Your CJ is extremely realistic, and I love taking my time to look at each picture and all the details it has. Your stories are short but perfectly adequate to describe the situation without being too long. All in all, a truly outstanding CJ! My first thought on the Broadway expansion was, "Oh, no! He had to nuke that sweet multi-colored residential condo building with the rooftop pool and umbrellas!" But, after looking at the new skyline, I can see the advantage of doing so! I have to agree with Jetty Jockey - that new interchange at the freeway that was diverted away from Broadway (because of the underpass) looks like it's pretty congested already. I'm looking forward to seeing how that works out, as well as how the upgraded avenues spur on city growth. Again, a most excellent update. Keep it up, sir!
9. New Horizon

This looks very realistic...great job! I'm looking forward to watching this CJ as it develops!
10. CaptCity, That was the right thought! I added that switch and it fixed it - thank you! One last question - is there a master list of switches to add to the game executable? No biggie, but I was curious and didn't find one on my searches (which were lacking, I'm sure). Thanks again! Jeff
11. Okay, so first let me start off by saying, I'm sure that this problem is my fault. A few weeks ago, I was having problems in SimCity 4 Deluxe. I had installed it on my new computer running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate with a 256 MB video card, and I was trying to migrate my old cities and plugins. Well, of course, it caused some problems, including the bug where education funding drops for all schools every month, as well as some crashes to desktop. I tried a variety of the suggestions here, including starting the game with various switches, and no dice. I finally decided to just build from scratch and forget about resurrecting my old cities (less headaches). The game has been functioning just fine lately, as far as I can tell, except that now when I play, the Windows taskbar remains visible when I play SimCity4 Deluxe. I can set it to autohide as a workaround, but it would be nice if there was a way to get that off the screen again. Unfortunately, I don't remember with 100% certainty all the switches I used, but here are the ones I do recall, to the best of my knowledge: /c Start "high priority sc4" /high -Intro:off -CPUCount:1 -EH:off I had created a new shortcut with the switches included, and modified one way or the other, but finally decided to go back to the original game shortcut (with no switches) and, in a move of utter brilliance, deleted the shortcut with the switches. My current system configuration is: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate AMD Phenom 9550 5 GB RAM GeForce 9300GE 256 MB For SimCity4 Deluxe: EP1 update installed Compatibility for Windows XP SP3 and "Run as administrator" Thanks for reading through this! If y'all have any suggestions, that would be most groovy! If not, no worries - I made my bed, so I can lie in it. At least I didn't hose the game! Jeff
12. Parker County Courthouse

Always +1 (or a 5!) for a Texas courthouse!
13. Punkthaus revisited

Very nice! When I saw these buildings, I didn't know they were based on a building in Plauen, Germany, until I read the info on the original SFBT Punkthaus model in SC4Devotion. They look a *lot* like three buildings I saw this summer in Batumi, Georgia! (Link below) Batumi Buildings Great job! I'm looking forward to using them in my cities!
14. Modern Residential

Beautifully done! I agree with joesmash, the landscaping and walkways at the base of the building are superb!
15. Absolutely stunning! What a bummer that you lost all your work on the descriptions. But regardless - awesome job! The variety of styles, as well as the shape of the land and water, and the way you've sculpted the suburbs, is amazing! I'm glad I found this CJ. Rock on!
