  1. To be honest there is no real "groundbreaking" mods that have been written yet because the tools are still in their infancy stage. This, in my opinion, makes it not really worthwhile for a normal mod user to actually use the mods yet if they are not prepared to lose the game they paid for. Basically wait until things are a little more clearer on the subject. I dont believe they will ban but if you are not prepared to lose it then simply do not mod.
  2. Open up the Sim City game package and the Region package. There is a few files with instance ID 0x51e7a18d which contains information on the regions in the game and also regions that dont exist yet. Im having a little trouble with SCP atm as searching for the files you mentioned is a pain in the ass but yeah. Youll notice these have the names inside of some of them. It seems these have a reference to the 0x2b9c480c files you was talking about but when you open them from the context view in scp you end up opening the same file in all of them which was a bit confusing at first. These obviously corespond to the cities in each of the regions. To find out what, you have to hop into the javascript for a sec in simcity_ui.min.js. I have extracted the relevant parts here: http://pastebin.com/ExhAXrcc The files have references to 1026 onwards which correspond to the numbers in the file above. The map files are just height maps which look to correspond to the resources in each city from oil to water to the actual land itself from my understanding. I was looking through all of this last night but didnt find anything because I didnt realise clicking the blue links in SCP only showed you the first instance of it which obviously threw me off track. But now I know Im gunna go deeper into the files and see what I can find
  3. Thank you elFarto for adding multiple package support
  4. Hmm anyone able to RE: 176a607a 55af4890 rw4 files in the app package? they look to hold something to do with the regions. Unsure what
  5. Hey oppie, im trying to edit regions but theres a couple of features which would be really really helpful when trying to figure out what each property is and that is: - Ability to load multiple packages so the instance links work across packages. - "Compare Properties" so I can click two files and see whats different about the individual properties and see what editing them does. But yeah, great tool looking really nice and really helpful.
  6. Game states

Most of these dont work with what we have at the moment. The only one that I know to work is: Simcity.exe -state:SimCity Its very useful for when the game updater wants to update a file but you dont want it to as it skips the launcher. What do you mean by "triggerCode"? I cant see it mentioned in the file you uploaded.
  7. I believe Gibbed has already got the format all figured out, I guess its just a case of if he releases it (which Im fairly sure he will - I just dont want to speak on his behalf)
