First off I would like to say sorry for my last journal, can't really expect a game to crash like that. =\ Anyways let's get to it. I've started up a new region called Hewitt. The city journal will start in the village of Hewitt City, capital city of the region. With 3,029 citizens already inhabiting the city, Hewitt City is pointed in the right direction. Let's get this started. Update 01: The seeds are planted. Hewitt City is a city situated off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, seen in the picture is the Incognito River, source of all the city's fresh water. Here's a picture of the Residential district. Here's a shot of the Commercial district, seen in the bottom picture is Jackson Avenue, currently under construction. And finally the Industrial district. In the right of the picture, you see the later be named, HC-101. A hospital was built to service all the sick sims in the city, a large plaza was also added to increase the area's overall beauty. Self explanitory. =P 4 Baseball fields were built above the soon to be built add-on to Commercial district. Now named the Garza Memorial Park, it will be renamed in the future. =) A police station was build to commidate the growing need for protection in the city. After a recent fire in the Industrial district, a fire station was built in the city. Next 10 people to post in this thread will be added somehow, someway to the city. Enjoy. Questions/comments/concerns? Post 'em!

In response to your comments... jacqulina: Let's hope the sims of Huntington don't have to use it much! lookinin: Thanks man, I'll give you some more region shots later, I added 2 more pictures of my region in this update. sloppet: Thanks! SC4 meister: Thanks, I enjoy your work, aswell. simzebu: Enjoy it, I'll do my best to keep it good. I sent you a private message, please be sure to respond to it ASAP. Update 06: The ties that bond. Before I get into the update, I would like introduce you to all the goverment departments of Hewitt. MOH (Mayoral Office of Hewitt): This department includes the Mayor of Hewitt, and all heads of each department in the region of Hewitt. Important people in this department: Gary Baugher (Mayor), Michael Jenkins (treasurer), Sandra Moraine (Secretary of transportation). HAD (Hewitt Agricultural Departmet): This department is responsible for the management of Hewitt's farms, crop prices, and crop transportation. With the the help of the HAD, many farmers who originally never had enough money to own a farm, soon do, with public grants of money that go towards the aid of the farmers who do not have enough money to start thier own farm up. Important people in this department: Charles Franks (Head of the department of agriculture), Cythia Perez (Minister of the allocation of farm aid). HPD (Hewitt Police Department): Responsible for the overall wellfare of all the citizens in Hewitt. Whether is keeping crime off the streets, or helping someone who locked thier keys in thier car, the HPD is here for you! Important people in this department: Richard Blackstock (Chief of police). HFD (Hewitt Fire Department): Although not goverment funded, the HFD is an unofficial branch of the Hewitt government. The HFD draws nearly all of it's money from charity, and 75% of the fire force in Hewitt is currently voluntary. When fire breaks out, the HFD is there to stop it! Did fluffy thw wonder cat get stuck in a tree again? No worries the brave men and women of the HFD are at the scene with a ladder, and a net to catch her when she jumps! Important people in this department: Chuck Brewer (Fire Marshall), Timothy Banks (Majority contributor to the HFD, over $45,000). HTA (Hewitt Transportation Association): In charge of all of Hewitt's transportaion neeeds. Build, and maintains all roads, highways, railways, and transportation buildings in Hewitt. Important people in this department: Sandra Moraine (Secretary of transportation), Diana Harrel (Maintenance and construction head). HPWD (Hewitt Power and Water Department): In charge of all of Hewitt's Power and Water. Recently set-up since the outcry for running water in the city has reached a new level. Maintains all water pipelines, water buildings, power lines, and power plants. Important people in this department: Mark Walsh (Head of water consumption, usage, and maintenance), William Hall (Head of power consumption, usage, and maintenance). Important people in this department: Marcus Cole (Deparment Chairman), Byron Brown (Maintenance captain). HHS (Hewitt Hospital Services): Builds hospitals, as well as supplies the medical supplies for the proper treatment of the sims in Hewitt. Important people in this department: Danielle Payton (Department head), Dr. Carl Volgel (Head surgeon, and lead medical advisor). HED (Hewitt Education Department): Builds the schools, colleges, and libraries of Hewitt. Also give money grants to students who cannot afford a proper education of thier own. Important people in this department: Cathy Hedstrum (Head of education improvment, and educational facilities.) Alright enough of that, on with the update! Construction continued on the planned highway and El train, late in the month of September, they were completely finished, a forshadow to many of what Hewitt City will become. Meanwhile the outcry for running water in the city grew, and the mayor feels it is time to water these sims, like plants, cities grown when watered well. The sims demand water! The mayor has laid down plans for a water tower to be built in Hewitt City, he officially announces the formation of the HPWD, already aforementioned. The El train line has been finished, seen here is half of the line in Hewitt, the line will be added to when Hewitt Expands Eastward. The rest of the El line. As seen in the previous picture, the Fairline Interstate (aka the HC-101) has been finished in Hewitt. This is the Fairlane Interstate, continuing Northbound, this area seen in the uninhabited North Hewitt City. The Fairlane finds it's way to Huntington, allowing all the surplus crops from Huntington to reach Hewitt City, conversly, Hewitt City citizen's yerning for a country life now can move out into Huntington, without backpacking through 50 miles of nature. An area is set aside for the water tower, construction will start when crews clear the area. The water tower has been build, flower gardens were added around the area, and we all know water + flowers = growth. Maybe a foreshadow of the things to come in Hewitt City. Shortly after the water tower was built, a mansion was erected, the owner has yet to be named. But no doubt on anyones mind's in Hewitt City, he will be the richest in the city. Demand is high for houses with running water, so new residential blocks were built to accomidate the demand for housing with water. Finally some region shots. Hewitt, the region seen in the picture is the planned suburb of Hewitt City, Sheffiled. And finally the transportation map. Those 4 who left comments will all be added to my CJ, if you would like to be a character and have a story line in my CJ, please tell me. Stay tuned, as Hewitt City plans massive additions to thier Residential, Commercial, and Industrial districts. Also, construction on the downtown area will begin! Also, who is the mystery sim moving into the mansion! Find out these answers, and more in the next edition of Hewitt: The City Journal! Thanks for reading! Untill next time, I bid you adieu. Enjoy. Questions/comments/concerns? Post 'em!

Sorry about the size, but it's the best size I could pick that would still allow detail in the city. Another reason it takes so long to load is that I already have 5 updates on one page. Once more comments start comming, updates will be spread out more. =P Anyways I'm using a huge region to work with, so I'll just give you this teaser picture, I'll offer more pictures of the region later. Keep in mind I'm still making the mountains to the north. =P Anyways, I'm hopping to add a HUGE update tonight, so stay tuned. =)

I'm going to watch this one, it has promise!

In response to your comments... lookinin: Thanks for the positive feedback, it gives me the will to continue. jacqulina: I added you to my latest update, I hope you like it! Update 05: A growing transportation grid. The mayor feels it is time to start construction on the planned transportation additions, to accommodate for the transportation needs of future sims. But first we will take a look at the past developing zones. The new residential blocks have finally been completed, in fact upper class sims are now moving into the area, construction on thier houses' are seen in the picture. The construction for the highway that will eventually connect Hewitt City to Huntington has begun. A clearing in the forest has been cut for the future highway. While the highway towards the South has already been completed, leading towards the future downtown district. The HTA has dubbed this strech of highway HC-201. The Rymac Commercial Plaza has experianced little to no major development, so the Mayor ordeded the construction of an on-ramp near the Plaza, allowing sims access to the Plaza without the stop and go traffic. Hopefully it will spur development in the area. Another on-ramp has been placed, allowing the flow of more commuters from the commercial district to the residential district. The El Train construction has begun, crews have already built El-to-Sub transfers to allow trains to pass under the highway. These transfers are highlighted in blue. All is well in Huntington, slow like always, new farms have been added, after recent news of the plans to connect Huntington to Hewitt City, increasing the farms output means increasing it's income. The new farms have been built already, highlighted in the above picture. Another piece of news from Huntington, a small volunteer firehouse has been built to heed the sims' demands for fire protection, being surrounded by a forest, after all. That will do it for this update, stay tunned, the next update we will see the completion of the Fairlane Interstate, connecting sims from Hewitt City to Huntington. Also, Hewitt City's El train plans will have something added to it, and the original planned construction will be finished! Thanks for reading! Untill next time, I bid you adieu. Enjoy. Questions/comments/concerns? Post 'em!

Thats alright, lookinin. It's good to see this journal is popular. Anyways on with the update! Update 04: Introducing... The roads for the future residential addition have been laid, and the mayor now feels it is time to start zoning. Parks will also be added to the area, to increase overall attractiveness of the area. The zones have been laid, and the parks have been constructed, the only thing missing from this equation are sims! Faster than you can say Antidisestablishmentarinism sims flock to the newly built area. Although not fully developed, the mayor expects the development of the area to finish within the next 4 months. The total amount of sims that the new addition brought in was around 500. Although development is slow in the new Rymac Commercial Plaza, it is developing! The mayor is looking towards the future, the HCTD has released plans for a future EL Train system. The HTA (Hewitt Transportation Association) has been offically set up for all of Hewitt's mass transportation needs. This will cover Highways, EL trains, railways, buses, subways, and tollbooths. An overall shot of Hewitt City. The cities population sits at 3,664. A small town has been set up 50 miles due northeast of Hewitt City. With a population of 107 it is mainly a farming community. Here's a picture of the city limits of Huntington. And a closer look... A shot of the residential and small...VERY small commercial sector. This is where most of the adult sims goto spend their hard earned cash on the weekend, the FullStrenght Bar and Nightclub. This is the hotspot of Huntington. The farms of Huntington, which provides 80% of Huntington's jobs. That's it for this update! Stay tuned for the next update! Next 3 people to post in this thread will be added somehow, someway to the city. Once again, those who weren't included in this update will be included in a future one. If you would like to become a citizen and have a storyline of your own in Hewitt City, please tell me! Enjoy. Questions/comments/concerns? Post 'em!

That hospital in the farmland sticks out like a sore thumb.

Looking great thusfar!

I'd like to be added, maybe a landmark or something along those lines. Even a street name would rock. My full name is Gary Baugher, feel free to use it any which way. [edit:] Holy crap thanks for linking me in your signature.

Awesome please notify me as soon as you have it done! I'm eager to see it!

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to create historic Wrigley Field? I would love to see it as a BAT, and for it to be usable in game, possibly even make the ivy on the walls seasonal. I think it would be quite cool. Any takers? Thanks! =) Pictures if you need them. A good frontal shot of Wrigley. A shot of the scoreboard. A better shot of the outside enterance sign. The rear of Wrigley. Can't forget the shot of the outfield wall and it's ivy!

I'd love to have a home near Colby Pond, man beautiful. Great work man.

In response to your comments... lookinin: WOuld you like to become a character in my CJ? jacqulina: Thanks alot! simzebu: Yeah me too, I spent like 5 hours on those embankments. Update 03: The new neighbors. Although the mayor was satisfied with what Hewitt City has become, he feels it is necessary to expand. He has planned a large undertaking. He wants to add nearly 4 blocks of new residential zoning to Hewitt City. Before we go to that, we will check up on how our last update went. The new library has been built, it's name later to be declared. Rumor is the hottest book will be Where's Waldo: In Canada! The planned residential expansion is laid out, construction will start soon. Construction begins! Soon a flock of sims will be ready to call Hewitt City home. The new residents of Hewitt City have arrived, and the planned residential expansion is complete! Before we get to the huge addition soon to be built, the avenue seen near the new commercial plaza, has been named. Now known as Pooty Ave. (haha it sounds dirty to me!) This is the area planned for the residential add-on. Roads have been laid to accommodate the future expansion. That's it for this update! Next 3 people to post in this thread will be added somehow, someway to the city. Once again, those who weren't included in this update will be included in a future one. If you would like to become a citizen and have a storyline of your own in Hewitt City, please tell me! Enjoy. Questions/comments/concerns? Post 'em!
