Ahh, makes sense, they tend to aggregate around the abandoned buildings... so I guess when a building becomes abandoned the homeless people come out of that building...

Hi all, I couldn't really find the answer to this anywhere, but I was bulldozing some of my buildings and once I press the bulldoze button, these yellow people icons started showing up on my streets. What does it mean exactly? Thanks!

Thanks for all your input! I think I'm getting a fuller understanding of what the mining specialization is. So it seems like everyone mines until they run out of the resource, and then continues by either smelting/producing the raw ores, then reselling or importing that raw material and then refines it. However, one of my original questions still stand, how do you deal with the air pollution, if there is much at all? I was warned by a city-mate I was playing with to "be careful with the pollution" since it could spread to other cities.

Hi all, I'm still relatively new and experimenting with specializations. For those of you doing Mining specialization, are you exporting? If there is another city in your region that might need your resources, do you keep it "local" (I wasn't sure if that's what it means by keeping it local). Also, how do you guys deal with the pollution problem? Since the pollution is going to affect the whole region, is there anything I can do to decrease that a bit? Any tips or feedback would be welcome!

You're absolutely right here, I do not understand how hard it is to learn from Diablo 3's mistakes. This was one of the WORST (if not the worst) game launches ever. Considering they put so much marketing into pushing this game as the top game of the year, they should have taken into consideration the large influx of people going in. And you are right, it feels much like playing a Beta than a commercially launched game. SimCity's release, I will argue, is worse than the Diablo 3 fiasco, at least Diablo 3 played exceedingly well when you got past the server issues. With SimCity being this much of abysmal failure, StarCraf II: Heart of the Swarm is a shoe-in for game of the year now assuming the folks at Blizzard Entertainment haven't recieved a lobotomy. -NW Oh yeah, that's what i meant, it might've not sounded clear haha. But I meant to say that this (SimCity) was one of the worst if not the worst game launches ever. Other game companies (I work in this industry) are sending emails to staff telling them how not to follow EA's example in game launching...

Yeah, I saw this yesterday too. It must be REALLY bad for Amazon to even stop selling the digital version. EA has really gone down with this launch and it's earned a pretty bad rep...

It's sad that we can't look back on this game 20 years later and decide to just install and play it like we can with the old Sim City games.
