Huge thunderstorms came into this region 400 years ago, and heavy rain fell all over the upper river region and the mountain ranges. result: the great river came over its banks and changed courses into the right river. this sudden change allowed sediment to build up and raise the river bed again, thus the old red river was trapped. A huge flood lake was created since the right river has no where to go, but eventually when the lake was high enough a way was found to escape the lake. Hi everybody! Ive seen many many city journals and im about to start one, however, this is gonna be a very big project, so im gonna make this a pre-city thread and discuss with you ppl how im gonna start this city: Im gonna first create the terrain, this will require alot of time though, as im not very familar with the black-white gradient system. first there is a bay, a huge deep water bay which the biggest city will be based in on the otherside of the bay is a mountain range, and beyond that is a beach. To the left of the bay there is a huge mountain range, and beyond the mountain range will be a huge river with heavy sediment ( ull see why i did this) The river delta is huge and there is alot of farms there with irrgation canals. South is the ocean with a couple of islands(volcanic) The beachstretches east ( it is built upby the river sediment) and then it contains a lagoon which the bay flows into.( this protects the bay from being engulfed by the river sediment). This project needs alot of plugins such as buildings and mods. There will be one city called central financial district which will house the best and the tallest economic structures of this region, this city will be on the shores of the bay with docks and piers Surrounding this city are also financial areas and rich dense residential areas. The bay area will most likely be lined with docks, naval installation, piers and industrial sites smaller cities will be built along the shores of the bay across from the mountain range there will be another city, this one is huge with ring roads like beijing. btw this is a very urban region, but also with alot of nature involved and terrain sculpting a huge expressway system will be built as well as a great rail system. This project needs comments to get started, feel freeto comment many mini cities willbe built as well

since this city is pretty international, would you ppl like to suggest some plugins to increase diversification of the city, that would be great all for today, gotta watch SNL

this region used to be industrial until it is converted to res due ot demand, as you can see the previously built canal system fits the city nicely truely are arteries, these highways carries alot of the traffic, and this interchange is the busiest, though screnshot cannot show the ful extent to traffic due to my ram being 256 the heavy reliance on highway system shown this so-called island is not by water, but by highway. this region enjoys alot of environment such as trees, parks and as well: good transporation since they are so close to the double highway, thus this region is high wealth and in demand a close glimpse of the interchange at noon, as some workers escape to cheat on their wives whatever

This city is located in Eastern China, and is somewhat like Shanghai in which its people are pretty international, people who live here often forget their nationalities, and they are proud of this city The story of the city began when the multinationals of china and asia wanted to live in a city where they can prosper more, thus, this new special admimistrative region was built to accomdate that this is like the midtown of this city, an econimic powerhouse, with little industries and mostly commercial and residential, very cosmo this city loves its environment, all around highways are trees and more trees, some areas have low tree density, that is because realisticaly trees take time to grow this takes the form of mahattan: Causwaybay is an old fishing port, soon it will be converted to a wealthy-yacht club : those on this forum who dont want it replaced can post and tell me eastside on this side of the pacific is a wealthy district, thsi area is settled by students and new immigrants, as you can see, some of the buildings are so overcrowded they went down a wealth level. this is like the lowereastside in mahattan, only less ghetto btw the city grew from this region, so it is somewhat historical:D this is the new rec park built to replace a immigration building, the new building is located near the new airport. theese large number of tennis courts had produced many famous tennis players simwide, this district is well known for its tennis players University of Chao Yang, one of the universitites built to accomdate new arrivals; thsi university attracted many students to live around it, thus making this area dense and it sbuildings crowded Grand village one of the wealthiest regions of the city, this area attracted wealthy businese men who wanted to live near the pacific center where their businese are located. this is a comfortable living area, trucks are banned, no railways and roads are kept cleaner than other areas yangyin park, a great hangout place for businese men eating their lunch, and the local youths from eastside use the tennis courts ,since many of the courts in their area is full this is the pacific econimic center, where skyscrapers and new businese opened and are ready in businese, many worldwide corproate has their headquarters here, and this area is famous for its number of banking and insurance plazas. though it is very crowded and the newly built atlantic center takes some pressure off another view of the pacific center, this time on the otherside of the highway. This area is also surrounded by a part of the canal system newly built this new region replaces the old industrial center, now new housing facailites accomdate the city, and the canals also serve as a good eyecandy for people living above the highrises Little France, otherwiseknown as little paris, is located at an old port and barge canal entrance, the french especially liked this area for its closeness to the Chaoyang bay, and they are currently expanding their housing and commercial area this is just a glimpse of whats going to be bulit later on in this region hope u enjoyed it
