  4. Theres some solid ideas there. Services on one side, gabage etc in the middle (that would obvious mean that agents find there way to the edges quicker). and the L intersection thingy seems okay too

  6. Time in SimCity?

    There are minutes, hours and days. The second speed pretty much makes 2 minutes tick away every second, or maybe a bit longer. Though things do develop quick than minutes. So a large building might take 2-5 minutes to actually form but in SC time that equates to maybe a few hours. After a day passes your coffers fill up (or empty depending on your budget). I hope this helps. Someone else might be able to explain it better than me.

    Maybe we should set up games on this forum? Im using Oceanic 1 and have 14 free spaces on my game. If you want to set up games with other members then I can create a list of the servers we play on and games members have. Does this sounds like a good idea?
  11. Hello, Can someone please tell me how to find a game that has a free city spot? Or perhaps I can start a region for others to join. This is just so frustrating to me. There are no filter options or anything that I can see. Perhaps I am doing something wrong?
  12. The city tiles are to damn small! (Should be a meme!) Personally always on DRM doesn't bother me either, I have broadband, always on internet connection isn't an issue unless you still have dialup. I think trading seems to be something that could potentially have me coming back for more in a multiplayer scenario. Being able to set up corporations, have them produce goods at differing efficiency levels and selling them on an open world market seems like a killer idea! (Maybe off topic but its vaguely related to the multiplayer stuff).
  13. Personally, I am not entirely sold on the idea that EA have a right to deny service if it costs them money. It would ultimately cost them less money if they shipped a game that was as buggy! And all this negative PR about how EA cannot manage a game is really going to hurt them where they may actually notice, stock prices.
  14. This sounds like it could potentially end up as a legal mess if a group of angry gamers decide that they want to call their lawyers about being denied a service they legitimately paid for. Bottom line is (in australia at least) if you pay for a product or service and it is defective in any way you are entitled to a refund. If at any point a service provider takes steps to actively deny you a service then that is grounds for legal action as they advertised a working product and have yet to provide it or actively sought to stop consumers from making use of that product. As well informed consumers we should be aware of our rights in this regard.
  15. The game made some vague reference to a regional market. We don't have access to regional prices, nor can we tax them (at least I don't think we can). It would be cool to have access to demand and supply schedules (basic econ stuff). Being some one who Is very keen on econ (I teach it) I must say that when I encountered this I was surprised and happy, but ultimately disappointed to find that there was very little substance. I guess its also somewhat like resource trading? Just a quick side on "global chains", it would make little sense for this at all (in terms of importing and exporting) without differing currencies. Otherwise what we have is simply shipping goods from city to city, which is a far cry from importing and exporting. (Let me know if I'm wrong, or if I'm perhaps nitpicking to much.)
