OK, I've made my decision. Right now my life expectancy is over 90 without the DRL and I'd rather spend the $130/mo. on a statue, ordinance, or landmark.
-
Exactly my thoughts, Bones1. Thanks for the help everyone. Does anyone know if the DRL increases the health of my sims?
-
Thanks, Tolomar. Right now I'm trying to stick to only in-game mods for this experimental city. Can anyone confirm that the DRL has a positive influence on commercial zones? Thanks again.
-
Oh, OK. Thanks.

Buena suerte.

When I plopped the DRL it shows up as low desirability on my analysis grid. According to the SimCity 4 guide by Thy451 the DRL is supposed to have no negative residential effects and highly positive commercial effects. What gives?

SC4Tool - Reference and Visual Editor for BATs and Lots
fightcancer replied to Andreas Roth's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
Danke schoen for the prompt response. I am mainly interested, and have been interested for about 17 months now, because I want to find out which buildings are the most efficient in terms of space usage. For example, the Ong Condos may be the most efficient Residential building as it holds the most people when when stressed 2 levels (I can't remember the correct word) even though it uses 16 tiles (4x4). In terms of industry, I believe one of the burners (from Dirty industry) provides 76 jobs and uses only 2 squares (2x1). However, its air pollution and AP radius are huge detractors. So maybe a HT Progen building would be better, but it provides far fewer jobs per tile. In my subway city, I'm trying to maximize population. So finding this list is very important. Thanks again for bringing us SC4Tool and for the prompt support, and thanks to Simrolle (?) as well. Sincerely, FC -

Is there any way to find a list of lot sizes (e.g. 3x3, 4x4, etc.)? Thanks! -

wow! thank you so much for the fast response. I cant' tell you how long I've been looking for a complete listing of RH buildings. I'm sure you already thought of this too, but I should mention that some of us would also like to see the building densities (e.g. Low, Medium, High) if it's not too much trouble. Thanks again for the Access file. Thanks to Simrolle, the programmer, too. -

For me at least, the website was totally down middle of last week. I'm glad it's back up and running. -

Date: 4/28/2005 9:27:24 AM Author: Andreas Roth EDIT: Ok, I uploaded a preliminary version of the database. As I said before, it's in Microsoft Access 2000 format, so make sure you have a program that can read these files. I didn't include the screenshots, since they are not complete yet and would blow up the package to about 8 MB. The database should work fine without them. Download WOW! THIS FILE IS SO BEAUTIFUL! DANKE SCHOENE! Where can I download the newest version with the welcome screen, etc? Also, please include the building lot sizes in the future (e.g. 4x3, 4x4, 2x2, etc.). Thanks again. Date: 5/17/2005 3:21:12 PM Author: Guinnessmonkey Great stuff! Now I won't have to open up simcity_1.dat just to check out a couple of standard building stats while I'm tweaking. How can I open up that DAT file? what program please? EDIT: from this thread I see that ilive and DatGen both do. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=64501 Unfortunately, the ilive programs don't list the name of the building in decimal, or they don't show the lot size. -
Date: 11/13/2003 2:42:38 PM Author: toroca Monorail SHOULD be the fastest, because it's got the highest travel speed of ANY kind of transit in the game. To do a proper test to confirm or deny the speeds, you would have to modify the transit stations so NONE of them provide jobs. As long as they provide jobs, you can't be 100% certain about the speeds. Oh, and simmax, I don't know where you got the idea that El Trains only have 2000 capacity, but you're wrong. MONORAILS only have 2000 capacity, but El Trains are 3000. In fact, El Trains are identical to subways except they cost less per month per tile to maintain. They are in fact significantly more cost-efficient than subways for this reason, and are second ONLY to ground rail in overall cost-effectiveness. Look in this thread for more information: https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=42089 quote> are there mods for MT stations with no jobs, or are you just saying one would have to create them to do an accurate test?
