  1. Yeah we're working on it. You answered the ONLY gripe I have so far from all the video previews haha. Glad I pre-ordered then.
  2. Getting back on the topic... It does look like the parks form to the curves of the road instead of just being a box, so that's a good thing!
  3. Maxis just released a new screenshot over at Facebook, and it looks like there's a park right near the center of the earthquake! UPDATE: attached screenshot
  4. Maxis live broadcast

    The video still isn't available?
  5. SimCity: Gameplay

From the first picture, it does look like the same setup as SC4... They already said you can play all cities in the same region and not co-op online, so it seems the only difference is that now visually it won't be rectangular cities on a rectangular region... So in that sense, the connection is no different than the connection we made back in SC4 to connect between cities, (of coz the difference being the connection locations are now fixed and singular...) The green arrows are most likely upgrades... The 2-lane road said "no room for growth", implying that other road choices DOES have room for growth... green arrows will likely but the upgrade/expand buttons for existing roads.
  6. Maxis releases Gameplay Video

This video sealed the deal for me. I pre-ordered. PS: This is the most beautiful and detailed Sim City I've ever seen! The little guys picking up trash and the familes walking back and forth between the moving truck and the new homes to move in haha.
  7. SimCity at E3 2012

I can't believe they only have a video and some screenshots to show off! I was hoping for a bit more details :-( But I guess it's still early.
  8. GDC: Simcity 5 features

Well already we can expect DLCs to come... New ploppable... Asian city set...
  9. Looking at the official website there are many troubling signs... 1. Ploppable buildings: "Customize buildings to unlock additional functionality and offer additional gameplay benefits. Experiment and place buildings in different locations and watch how it affects your city." It appears that gameplay will be driven mainly by individual buildings plops - although they seem to be upgrade-able. Zoning was mentioned along with curved roads, but doesn't appear to be a main focus. 2. Specialization: "Create a unique city each time you play by specializing in a specific industry." This is basically the idea behind Societies. Doesn't seem possible to build a cosmopolitan, multi-faceted metropolis. 3. Multiplayer: "Work together with friends to build a region for the first time! The cities in your friends’ region will directly interact with each other." Personally I love Sim City because it is solo and I don't have to consider other players when I plan. 4. Towns, not cities: "Now every Sim has a purpose in the SimCity world, a home to go to, a job to work at, even stores to shop in." The days of x00,000 metropolis might be over. Forgive me, I'm a pessimist. :-(
  10. Leaked pre-visualization SimCity 5 trailer

Oh man this worries me... The whole SimCorp thing... or Commerce vs Industry... Looks like SimCity Societies all over again :-( Or maybe it's some kind of facebook thing...
  11. First Image of SimCity 5, from German magazine GameStar

Are we sure this is NOT the facebook sim city game they've been talking about?
  12. EASimCity YouTube account

The reason all those things happened in October 2011 is because former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain suggested a 9/9/9 tax plan. EA used that opportunity to sell some SC4... I believe they put it on sale coz of it.
  13. CitiesXL 2012

Just wanna make sure this is right. I have Cities XL original on Steam. I can download Cities XL 2011 upgrade for 12.49. then I can download Cities XL 2012 upgrade for another 12.49. Is this correct? Coz then I'm willing to do it for $26 bucks.
  14. Civ 3&4

I was just playing it earlier today! Julius Caesar @ Rome.
