From a distance, Threeways looks like a relatively normal city.
But large areas were recently torn apart by some natural disaster which is not yet understood by the people of Threeways. The whole Eastern and Southern edges of the city as well as many other small pockets where destroyed on 30th August 2101 when the ground shook with the force of an earthquake and in some places was completely re-shaped. This re-shaping phenomenon was most distinct near the border with neighbouring city Nouveau.
Several geologists working in Threeways' High-tech science park in the West of the city currently believe the catastorphe was caused by some ground works being carried out in neighbouring city Nouveau.
Naturally, this theory has angered many of Threeways sims who are looking for someone to blame. The Mayor, Darren Colcote, is also coming under pressure to get to the bottom of this mess and to sort out the areas of the city which were destroyed. Fortunately, his residence and much of the main street in Threeways remained unscathed.
The isolated South western island did not escape unharmed either, here we see many empty plots of land. The debris has been cleared, but no new planning permission has been granted at the current time.
