so what should we try to achieve? collect every single game achievement? on ever server? (since they don't carry over) If you like. But I'm talking about actual achievements in the game. Like fully upgrading the City Hall AND the Mansion. Or have 100% educated sims in a large city (200k+) etc. Use your imagination. There is no "end" to a game like this.

It's brilliant. I love this stuff, and it's one of the reasons I like SC'13 better than SC4. Trading is great. I'm working on a region that will be comprised of completely self suficient cities. No importing at all. It's a challenge to make each city work, but I'm getting there. Having a rule that I won't ever gift money to a city makes it ard, but more fun. Ocasionally I lose a delivery, but hey, it's the Royal Mail, so what do you expect

There is an entire pinned topic for this whining. Stick this kind of junk in there. If the game is too easy, I suggest you're not trying to achive very much.

No mention of crime. Tourism's biggest killer IMO. Even a few crimes a day in your main commercial zones will drive people away. By far my biggest expense (a massive 9 grand an hour) is Policing). One bad night at the EXPO and I'm in the red.

Do you need to keep specilisation HQ?
HugeF1 replied to Horza3003's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Yeah, unless you're "finished", and really pushed for space (as you might be) then just close them. -
If you could go back and doit again,,,would you still buy SimCity 5?
HugeF1 replied to parenzo's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Entirely agree. The whining got boring on the 3rd day. I bought the game on the day of release. I've lost 1 city that I'd only just started (and messed up anyway) and had a few rollbacks (2 were entirely beneficial thanks to undoing a stupid mistake and a disaster ). Aside from the in-game bugs, that's it. Ok so EA didn't handle the problems well, but I enjoy the game on the whole. -
What service do you plop first?
HugeF1 replied to CosmicSpeed's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Depends on the specialisation. If it's tech or gambling, then education. If it's anything else, health (sick sims don't work). -
So you can't send them in the same way as you would to another city?
-
Can't you send firetrucks to the Great Work Site?

Why ain't I making money out of public transport?
HugeF1 replied to johni's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Because normal people want to play this game, not just Republican voters in America. -
What is the key for profitable casino?
HugeF1 replied to johni's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Look at the population panel under Details. It will tell you how many tourists there are. -
What did (will) you pick as your free game?
HugeF1 replied to Dirktator's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
DS3. I loved the first two. Nothing like playing Dead Space in a darkened house with a decent sound system. I swear I'm going to end up in the ED with a form that says Reason for death: Had heart attack whilst playing Dead Space (A massive spider thing lept out of a dark corner, and tried to rip off his oxygen pack...) -
would you be willing to spend $200 on a future COMPLETE Simcity?
HugeF1 replied to elektrichead22's topic in Gaming Talk
Sorry I should point out that I was kidding when I asked if the OP was a troll. I'm not like that. Honest -
Are you actually preventing the crime, or are you just throwing the criminals in jail? Schools etc help with prevention.

I love Maxisman. I just imagine this fat tool in a superhero suit his mum made for him. He makes you pay thousands for a house that looks like it came from the Jetsons, thousands more to drive or fly aimlessly about and thousands extra to do his damn job. He's so like the government, it's ureal.
