  1. The Leaving / Returning Thread

Well. I take that back. Sorry, I will be leaving for awhile. One of the forums I have been developing (Urban OK forums, radio tuner, urban gallery, library, chat, and urban newswire ) preceed before almost every other one of my forums, and considering that life is going wild right now... won't be on ST much.
  2. The Leaving / Returning Thread

Nickie is back!! Oh, we've missed you so much! (don't tell him. Let him find out on his own)quote> Yikes... that sounds scary. Let's do a search-a-roo on my username and see what you mean. If sincere, thanks for the welcome back, bud!
  3. Ponca City Journal

Do you realize that Ponca City is a small oil city in Northern Oklahoma? Once home to the Conaco Corporation. Pretty swanky town. Anyway, why don't you use JPEGs as your file format?
  4. Mandelare, the w2w experience

Looks much like Marseille... but not as polluted.
  5. The Leaving / Returning Thread

The outhouse, right? You gotta love someone with a sense of humour!
  6. The Leaving / Returning Thread

Hi'ya. Returning member here. Haven't been on in a long time. Feels great to be back.
  7. Turry Metro Region to Scale

This is simillar to Apex Valley, great. Better than Edmonton, not as good as Apex. Major complement reight there.
  8. City of EDMONTON

Not bad. A little presumptuous, but preety neat. almost as good as Dolfans. Good job.
  9. Apex Valley - A Dolfan Scrapbook

Yes! I, a reliegious man, have had my prayers answered, momentarilly!!!
  10. Apex Valley - A Dolfan Scrapbook

Do only 150,000 people live htere? Wow. Nick.
  11. Apex Valley - A Dolfan Scrapbook

no just kidding. Cooper: calm down, we might become friends. Me and Vid are kinda friends, we know each other better than any 2 people know each other on this site, and we can always predict what the other will say, And we are always bickering, lol. Either that, or bringing up past memories, from elsewhere. Dolphin, this is the best CJ I've ever sen, I just can't believe it. Have you ever seen Amarillo's west side. It kinda ends really abruptly. Hey, Vid! You didn't call me Nickie!!! Dolphin, you might start sparsely adding neighborhoods, and fill in the blanks when the city gets bigger. Use retail and high tech to provide nearby jobs out in those boonies/suburbs. Nick.
  12. Apex Valley - A Dolfan Scrapbook

We love your CJ so much, we want an update right away, captain! Can we download this? Nick.
  13. Apex Valley - A Dolfan Scrapbook

The skill you have displayes indicates time spent painstakingly on concentration. A serious city builder indeed. How is that for suburban sprawl, I likee indeed! Nick.
  14. San Diego County (Re-settled)

Well... I will probably be coming back, but it could use both updates, and my advice. Noth of which meaning I must watch this CJ. The reason I never enter most CJs, is because of stupid names. With an imitation you can't really go wrong, and everybody can tell you how to do it, sorry, but it's true. Nick.
  15. Apex Valley - A Dolfan Scrapbook

You are an urban freak, from what I've seen of you, Uncrazycooper13, . I think you should start considering subway, or monorail, or elvated rail. It will reduce commute times. This CJ recieves an A from me. You have meticulously zoned better than even I have ever done, and specialized neighborhoods, not city's. Great read! Nick.
  16. San Diego County (Re-settled)

Well, It really isn't that big.
  17. San Diego County (Re-settled)

You have a nice, unassuming grid there. If you want to prevent the mansions coming in and using all the space, put a grass buffer zone/park area between the houses, and you'll get more low density mansions into the neighborhood. Nick.
  18. Adventures In New Urbanism --- A Journal

Why must you refrain from using one way roads. I think that you could use a little bit of advice there, mister. Two way roads are an important planning anchor, because they hold great capacity, don't take up as much space, and can be prettier because I like to put parks in the middle, and construct my very OWN style of median. I hope I have helped better your CJ, Nick.
  19. City of EDMONTON

O.K. Now why do you have the one way (you get points for that) ROAD. Often, the best way to go is definately to create a road, and let it bleed out into a street. You place all of this just like you did with your one way road, except the MAJOR advantage here is that your freeway does not stop. You may even want to take it further, and not let them connect, but place them staggered to elimenate left turn B.S. Thankya for yer time, Nick.
