Here is the WIki definition of Simulation- Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or system over time.[1] The act of simulating something first requires that a model be developed; this model represents the key characteristics or behaviors of the selected physical or abstract system or process. The model represents the system itself, whereas the simulation represents the operation of the system over time. That's nice to know, so WHY is it that when I play Simcity 4 (or any Simcity game), I have to DISPATCH the POLICE and FIREFIGHTERS? Doesn't that kill the simulation part of the game? Shouldn't I just be able to plop down some police and fire stations and have the game do the work for me, instead of pausing every 5 damn minutes and interrupting my attempt to zone new RDI areas? I'm starting to get tempted to just let my city burn to the ground. At least the simulation won't have anything to complain about after that. That IS until my city rebuilds itself. Yay Simulation!!! As a side note, I DO enjoy this game. I just wanted to vent about this annoyance. Anybody else feel the same way?

As far as I know, you can't repay loans in Simcity 4. I'm not sure if this is the correct area to post this, but I had an idea that could possibly fix this annoying problem. For the record, I'm not sure if anybody would be able to do this, but here goes- Create a lot that reduces the time needed to repay the loan, but with the consequence of increased crime throughout the entire city (You didn't expect the mafia to leave, did you?). Unlike other lots that provide free money, this one would expire after a set amount of time, so you would have to build another one to pay off another loan. However, building the other one will increase the crime by a set multiplier because crime families errr... I mean... loan sharks tend to not get along very well. Destroying the lot will cause a sudden decrease in population and a lower Mayor Rating because the media will cover the political corruption within your city. Soooo... Anybody have the know-how or skill to create this?

Thanks for the input everybody!!! I appreciate it!!! Anyway, I don't have to pay those loans off any more and my city is now doing pretty well. In fact, would you believe that I owed 2 million dollars? I didn't think I was EVER going to get out of that one. It really DOES take patience to become successful!!!
