  1. Any news on expansion or new version?

It's very doubtful that a new iteration of CXL will ever see light of day. That said, the modding community is as strong as ever. Most of the work done by the community has been of higher quality than anything FHI would be likely to produce. So, official support or not, Cities XL is not dead; not by a long shot.
  2. Cities XL 2012 Mods

XL Nation has been migrated to new software. Unfortunately, the old forums are gone, but it's for the best in the long-term. The new site should be crash-free. All the problems it had in the past are history. As for broken links, many links to the forums, old XLEX, etc will no longer work, but the link to the front page should still be working. http://xlnation.net/
  3. XL nation question....

The administrator of the website is currently trying to get email notifications working; hopefully they will be working within the week.
  4. Cities XL community website XL Nation.net down :(

I've been using the site for the past few months with zero problems concerning viruses or malware. Avast is known for being prone to false positives, and there's not much the XLN staff can do from their end to unblock the site. That being said, I will try to get in contact with the owner of the site and see if this can be resolved, but no promises. For now, I'd say unblock it manually (I assume that's possible with Avast), or get another anti-virus.
  5. Syrian civil war.

Neville Chamberlain would be proud. I recall him saying something along those lines about Czechoslovakia in 1938... In any case, the UN has once again proved itself as an irrelevant organization that does little to punish inhumane violations of international law. It needs to get rid of or change the structure of the security council, or it's all but useless.
  6. Why no love, or, ANYTHING for Cities XL

There is indeed a much more popular and active community for Cities XL at XL Nation, which has over 60,000 members (along with a countless number of mods) and growing. Check it out.
  7. Syrian civil war.

I guess the ramifications of using bio-chemical weapons are lost on many. I wonder what the British would have decided if this had happened near after WWI?
  8. Which Versions of City Life/CitiesXL Should I Avoid?

I also have a 64 bit system. The game works fine for me as well.
  9. SimCity Leads Leave Maxis

Dreams are nice, aren't they? Too bad they never happen.
  10. XLNation Down?

The site is back up and running.
  11. Update on citysize?

    Wow... just wow...
  12. Zimmerman acquited.

All this just goes to show that we've got a long way to go before African Americans and other minorities truly get equality.
  13. XLNation Down?

We don't have a Facebook page. If there's a Facebook group claiming to represent us, it's not legitimate.
  14. As I said on XLN, it's good to see you around! This looks very promising.
  15. XLNation Down?

I'm getting the same thing. It should be back up and running soon I imagine.
