I just have a general question, I know some Christians believe the world is 6000 years old and some do not. I was wondering if certain denominations believe this while others do not or if it is more of a personal interpretation made individually by people of the Bible. Also I was wondering if other religions of the world have a belief or teaching on the age of the world. Thanks to those who reply!

I think it is interesting that some people think it is okay to discriminate against people based on sexuality but that it is wrong to discriminate based on race, sex, religion, etc. It is rather contradictary, but then again in the past people thought it was okay to discriminate based on race, sex, and religion but times have changed and that behavior is now viewed as abhorent. I think people who discriminate against people because of their sexuality will find themselves on the wrong side of history.

So whatever religion you decided to be or your parents brought you up to be should have no bearing on how governments treat their citizens. We are all humans and we should all have the same rights. (Note by "you" I am refering to the readers of the post and not anyone in particular)
