  1. Concept: Building Upgrades

Kind of like the Council solar panel projects in the uk but as a city ordnance, but for the government buildings (schools/hospitals/fire stations/ect.) I think you should add them (solar/wind) to the building yourself.
  2. Concept: Building Upgrades

This is what people tend to forget when they say they don't want buildings to be plop-able & they just want it to keep evolving (knocking down the house & building a new one), is that it doesn't normally happen like that because it is generally more expensive to knock down a building then it is to reuse or repurpose it. Also as an area becomes more/less desirable richer people move in/out of the existing buildings, take Bethnal Green, London for example was one of London's poorest slums, but now the rich are moving in forcing out the people who cannot afford the increasing housing & land values. Most of the time in modern times (after ww2 in Europe), when a building gets knocked down is because it has been declared unsafe or all available space has been used & usually has to get permission from local or regional government. Yes I agree the game has to be fun but it would nice to know that it could be as in-depth as you would like.
  3. Functional Parks with Rules

I like allotments to be added to the park/health section as they are adding an environmental aspect to the game. Think of them as multi-purpose lots as they are Educational Improve health (fresh veg) Cut pollution (food miles) The whole community aspect (might lower crime & add new crimes in times of recession/depression) Would be really easy to expand in a "lego fashion" & funThe only negative would be land space as they can take up alot of room, but they are normally situated along railway lines & major roads in europe (A & M roads in the UK) History of allotments in the uk - http://www.allotment...ent-History.php
  4. SimCity: Wishlists

Most of what I would like to see has already been mentioned above, but I don't think I saw anything about the GUI, as I would like it to be scalable so you could play at a desk as well as on the TV while siting on the sofa. The best eg. I can give would be minecraft as you can change the scale from 'small - normal - large & auto' , but with games like anno1404 you can only play if your face is pressed up against the screen which can make it unplayable. oh & a option for 4:3 as well as wide screen.
  5. This is something I always wanted to do in sim games, but I suppose because of hardware & software limitations made this impossible, plus this is how it actually gets done in the real world through contractors. Now let's take this & put it in the online portion of the game, wether that be solo or multiplayer. Say you wanted a new housing estate built, you could either do this yourself or ask the people your playing with on multiplayer or the community through a "City Planer" part on EA/STEX, where you upload the portion of the city you want built on (uploads only roads & greyed out where its already developed). You then award the contract to the one you think is best & you pay them the money from your budget (in game money, no real money) which gets put into their budget. eg. BriefUk $ housing estate To cover x sq. acre'sSimi/Detached & terraced housing (W2W)3 road conectionsCycle lanes 2 bus stopsSmall shopping parade (3-5 shops)Budget - xxxx(include pictures of construction & surrounding area & images from the net & google maps cord's)
