Mahini Beginnings
mavericks17 commented on mavericks17's City Journal Entry in Mahini Island / Mahini
@Dethsrow: here is the link, https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/24399-hbs-tropical-flora-pack-mayor-mode/ @turdferguson1: quite a observation. I hadn't planned on naming it that. I just started thinking of names for the city and it popped into my head. The first thing i thought was about Ian Mahinimi, but there was actually no intentions of naming it after him though -
The island of Mahini is a beautiful place from the small mountain range to the beaches. This marvelous creation and island was once uninhabited, but discovered around the 21st century. This is the growth and creation of Mahini. People believe that Mahini could be the next Hawaii, or tourist destination. For now, it is just a home for a couple thousand people. Here is the main beach near the bay called Rocky Palm Beach. Filled with rocks and beautiful palm trees (and don't for get the reef) this is a beautiful sight. North of the Rocky Palm Beach are the Mahini Island Mountains. The highest peak, Mount Kahu, was once an ancient volcano that erupted several thousand years ago, which created the island. It is estimated to go off every 100 years. The problem for the Islanders is that, they don't know how much longer it is until the next eruption. The beginnings of civilization in Mahini began of March 21, 2002. Below is the Mahinian Flag (There is white in the flag. The white is mixed in with the background). Here is the city a couple months after colonization began. The wind farm is the source, and will be the source of the main island. It is out of the way on the other side of the mountains and easy to get to. Here is the small little town of about 2,500 people . This is the Mountain View High School and Mountain View Elementary School. Education is very important to Mahitians so a brand new library was placed across the street. Here are the island's first luxury condominiums. More hope to be here in the far future, but for now, just alot of expansion. There is also the Sunoco Gas Station for the cars to fill er up. A small little island town it is, but there is so much spirit in the island. So much history and such a beautiful place to live. This is only the beginning. PLEASE RATE AND COMMENT!!!! THANKS
