Hey Prozach, I've re-installed after deleting all beta files, and it's worked fine this time- I went directly to the 'create avitar' section, which means I've logged in successfully. Try deleting all your demo files first, then reinstall the game and give it another go.

I have the same problem, except I am running Vista 32. I have a core 2 duo system, and have updated .NET. I am currently re-installing after deleting all beta files (i was part of the beta test). Will let you know if anything transpires... might try turning off one of the cores...

Open the Task Manager/select the processes tab/right click on the SimCity entry/set the priority to High/right click again and select "affinity" and deselect one of the cores. This has really helped. Good luck. Worked for me.... 6 hours playing time without a crash! I was about to give up on SC4, thinking it was a Vista bug. It's not entirely true to say that 'you can't catch cancer". Cervical cancer is thought to be casued by a virus that is sexually tranmitted from a male carrier to a female. This last week a vaccine for the cervical cancer was added to the immunisation schedule in Australia, and I hope it will be added to the New Zealand (where I live) immunisation schedule soon. Good on you Ded for your post. I think it is a good thing to make people stop for a minute of two, encourage them to look outside themselves and realise that there is alot going on in the world, much of it not directly impacting on their daily lives, but nether the less having some sort of effect on it.
