These are all really remarkable tales really. From a 13 year old to a 72 year old! I'm somewhere in the middle and have been addicted to Siim City 4 since its arrival. As a previous poster pointed out (I can't see the entire thread now that I am posting, apologies) this is more of a hobby then a game for most of us. Even today as I play new release games I still marvel at the sheer complexity of this game, as far as what's going on under the hood. I remember when it was first released everyone upgraded their graphics cards becuase they suffered so much lag, only to continue to sufffer lag, as it wasn't the graphics that was grinding the CPU but all the calculations of city management it was making. Best. Game. Ever.

I have the mod that blocks all Maxis content and so only have a limited amountof slumlike bats. But I agree with you, I wasn't really happy with all those white buildings growing. And the bloody McDonalds are taking over town! Yes, I will need to download more content.
