Wow, Manetto hill is just a wonderful place to live; it's beautiful! Also like the teaser pics of update 9, the overviews show a very perfectionist layout, I love the symmetry of it! Got a question, though: how did you create the animated views? they're great!

NEW HOLLAND Let me tell you how the story begins... In the summer of 2004 a few Dutch friends had planned a holiday trip to Florida; they were really looking forward to see the sunny beaches, make a trip through the Everglades, and relax even a bit more at some expensive beachresort. So they took off from Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam), their bags stuffed. They just couldn

Great updates as usual Fredval; the canals are amazing! I've got a question: in your update of july 1, you present a picture-mosaique of the navy base of Maplewood, and I recognize a japanese BAT in there: it's the industrial harbor with the water-purification building on it; could you provide a link where I can download it? It looks absolutely stunning! (or is it also available on the STEX? Many kournalers use it in their cj's) Compliments on your work, good job!

Ha! I have the honor to give the very first reply to your new cj! Great pics, excellent start! Simgoober's canals and docks look wonderful; as well as the industrial city: I always love dirty industrial areas, for you don't see them very often in all those smooth and polished cj's! Great start! -
Spectacular job Mike! Love the suburbs and the sunken highway; I read at the top of this page that it's been your birtday lately, so congratulations! Sorry for being away fro so long, but I had a terribly busy time studying.. Anyway, keep it up!

Hi, got a question (I'm not sure if it's already answered, but I've been searching quite sone time now and don't find an answer) I remember that there's some spaceship-BAT, but I can't find it. Think it's japanese, does anyone know where I can find it? There's also a spacestation-BAt available, but it's packed in a file I can't extract (.gca file). Does anyone know what I need to extract that file? -
Wow! Spectacular terrain, beautiful city-layout! This promises to be a marvelous journal!

Whoa!! Just being a few weeks off, and coming back only to discover that a new cj is in the making! Well, I still have to catch up with the last 14 pages or so, but I'm also very curious about your next project MayorTim!

Announcement: I'm sorry to tell this, but the start of my new journal is delayed much, due to a terrible hardware problem. My harddisk is damaged, so I'll have to buy a new one; I also need a new monitor; besides that, there is a couple of other problems to be solved, but unfortunately I have not enough cash at the moment.... At least I'm very lucky to have made a backup of the new region, but I can't work on it as you understand. As for New Holland, and the wrong pictures on the first page, well, there's a problem with other pics somewhere on Simtrop which have the exact same names (probably pic1 or something), which is why they have accidentally been replaced. Since I can't use my harddrive anymore, this means I can't post the original pics again, and the whole New Holland region, the story and everything is now gone forever.... New Holland now exists only virtually on this site. Hope I've informed you sufficiently. It may take a long time for me to show up with something new, but I definitely will, in the end. Sorry for this mess, but I'm working on it. Cheerz, and take care everyone! 2s: hope you read this, sorry for my late answer. In the picture there are actually several mods used. The water is done with the Pegasus Brigantine Water texture; the mountains are done with the Pegasus Grey Rock Mod (part of Peg's Rockmod 1), and with the snowcapped-mod; the trees are done with a mod that only creates pine-trees (but I'm not sure if it's still available; heck... we've got better treemods now with Cycledog's mod ) Finally the beaches are done with the grey-rocky beach (I don't know where I got that mod from, maybe someone else knows..) Except for the treemod, and the beachmod, all the other mods are available on the STEX

Graafsticht ... my vision on how a city should look
utora replied to NicolaiS's topic in SC4 City Journals
Your city looks quite spacious, I like that, as well as the light poles near the highway; still a lot of terraforming to do on the region though! keep it up! -
Great update MayorTim! I like the forest-strips in your picture of Norwood-East; in real life you always see such kind of things in cities: pieces of forests here and there, small strips of bare land etc. Great work on the suburban looks of this region, I can't say this enough times... great job!
