And Gregory, it all looks fantastic. I've been waiting for this update all week and it's just so damn awesome. <3 Question though! About the new maps; will any of them be added onto the PO planets for use by new mayors?quote> How do you cancel the PO subscription. I'd like to get my money back for the next two months. MC has already refused my refund request?

Originally posted by: GlobexCo Sounds are in a pak file (named all_wav.pak); but this is not a thing for modders, this is a thing that should come with a MC patch.quote> Exactly why would they leave out ambient sounds from release??? Anyway search the web if you don't know how to open the .pak files, some smart folks have figured that out already. One you have done that you will then see the ambient folder in your sounds folder - as stated all you have to do is move it. For anyone doing that MC already said they won't support you - best if your going to do this to make a backup of your sound folder to revert to prior to any patches.

So can we post the Ambiance folder for people to download here so they too can have ambient sound or does that violate the agreement? The folder is already there in your files we are not changing any of the code?

Originally posted by: GlobexCo Hello everyone!! I've discovered that the .exe file of Cities XL, like it was in the beta, search for things in the Data folder. After unpacking (don't ask me how, it's a secret!) many files of the old data folder and saving them in .xml files; I modified some settings in those files. So I MODDED LOANS!!!!! With this modifies you can have 3 loans of 1000000000 $, and the bank will pay you 1000000000 $ for 1000000000 turns! Now you can build your dream city without any problems of money. read the readme, it's in the folder! I put it on the STEX. (I'll upload the link when ready) At the moment only mods like this are possible! In the version 1.0 I'll try to create infinite loans! Why I started this topic? Because I want to know if the STEX is the right place to upload mod for CXL. Please answer... Thanks a lot to everyone!quote> You let the cat out of the bag not me - now it's fair game. You can also get the ambiance folder and put it in your data/ sounds folder to get the ambiant sounds in the game, traffic - birds - people...... Makes a huge difference in game play that's for sure. You don't have to change any code you just move the folder.

Sorry Rakeesh, I do not enjoy giving Monte Crisco money for promises and pictures which is all we've gotten. I may have been branded a sucker yesterday but today is a new day and actions speak louder than words. Unfortunately there is no action, just words - and as you point out pictures.

October 15, 2009 - Monte Crisco announces BluePrints right around the corner. Anyone every been around the corner? Did it take you over two weeks to get there? Never did for me... Now we've all seen the timeframe for right around the corner, how long is it going to take and how much will we spend monthly waiting on the other promised content? All I got for my 9 dollars this month was the right to post my frustration on this forum - but I'm sure like some of my others it will also be deleted soon ... er um - I mean moderated soon.

9 dollars a month? For what? To help MC finish the content that should have already been in the game? Comon MC get your heads out of the sand!

MC please provide some estimates for us. Thank you. quote> I doubt they'll be willing to give you any timelines. My advice, don't buy the game based on promises, buy it when they actually have solid stuff released. You can always come here, I'm sure people will be following the updates closely. Keep in mind many of those updates will be tied to having the subscription and won't apply to the single player game.quote> Well MC???? You want 9 dollars a month and your silence is already saying so much! How about some communication with the community?

Ambient sounds are already there they are just not being used...... just watiing on MC to put them in the right place for us.......

Pretty sure I'm sticking away from this one too.quote> From the article: Sound Gentle music will put you in a relaxed mood, and all the ambient sounds are perfectly fitting within the game.quote> What ambient sounds they are talking about? Either this review is cooked and the guy are making this up OR they are using a "custom" version that MC sended for them, which means that they didn't review the product that everbody here got in hands.... Either way it's bad..... and the credibility of IGN just went thru the sewer with this. quote> Listen up, one of two things happened here. Either MC gave them a different version to review that included ambient sounds or they move some files/folders around to get the sounds enabled. Either way it's apparnt the final version we are playing does not have ambient sounds but the files are there to be used, we just have to wait for MC to unlock them with the rest of the missing content.
