I'm wondering, could a plug-in be causing my city not to grow at all? Normally I can start a new city, plop down some zones and it'd start growing, but I've gotten nothing, even put on speed and lowered taxes. This didn't happen before so I'm curious if it's something I installed. Edit: Nevermind. Found out I installed a suppression plug-in.

I've seen older threads but figured might be best to start a new one. So after a couple of years of not playing, decided to get back into SC4. I re-installed it but when clicking the icon, the blue wheel briefly spins and nothing happens. Some details: - Windows 7 (64-bit) - I did a search, but don't see I have the KB3086255 update - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series Adapter - Tried the SC4 Launcher (with various settings) and no luck - Tried in Compatibility Mode and nada - Nothing shows up in Processes Anyone come up against this and if you got it working, how? Like I said, I was able to use this in the past on this computer but it has been a while. Would appreciate any help.

I'm just getting into using the NAM and RHW mods but it's so confusing and I've watched a couple videos but have a hard time getting the hang of it. Now, I've got the starter piece down and getting the highway created but getting things like on/off ramps is so confusing and I often choose the wrong on. THEN I have no idea how to connect it all to regular roads and such. Anyway, long story and all that, but are there good tutorials out there that starts from the basics and moves to more advance options? Edit: I also should note that some tutorials I have found have been fairly old (something like 3+ years old). I'm currenting using the latest NAM 32.

Don't have the game running at the moment, so don't know the EQ, but no crime on the graph or data, that is correct. But once I removed the Max Out cheat and fast forward, crime did go up. Looking at the folder, I think there was a conflict and I didn't remove the proper dat files. I've redownloaded Radical One's file (from here) and started over and actually reading the readme file, lol. Still need to test it, though.

Well, there's not much in that plugins folder: ArcTriomphe.dat, SeoulSoccerStad.dat, Kunjungjon.dat, CapitolRecords.dat, AdlerPlanetarium.dat, SobchakLanes.dat, ShortyBurger.dat Anyway, I'll just have to go through the other plugins folder in the Documents folder. Thought I'd ask if maybe there was a setting within the game I was missing. Edit: Ok, so I took out Radical One's max out cheats and fast foward and wala, I got me some crime! So, now I need to see if I can adjust it.

Maybe you're just a very good player who does not let any crime develop ?? ;) (But even with an insane police coverage you should have crime in some places like airports...) Exactly and I do have an airport. I looked at the chart and there is 0 crime and it doesn't matter which city I'm working on (I currently have 4 going). At first I thought it was the Crime Doesn't Pay plugin but it's not in any folder associated with Sim City 4 (even the folder for the game itself). Anyway, I'll tinker around and see if one of the other cheats is responsible or something. I wonder if it's the Demand Mod which maxes out certain segments (residential, commercial and industrial) and if that happens, maybe people are just so satisfied, they don't get into crime... Anyone else use RadicalOne's mods before?

Thing is, the only plugins I have are building mods, lots, NAM and such. But when I get a chance, I'll try it.

So, I'm certain I have a cheat plugin but can't find it because when I play, I have absolutely no crime anywhere. I do have the CrimeDoesntPay one in a separate folder (not in one for the game) but can't find it in the plugins folder for the game itself. The only other cheat plugin I have is Radical One's "Demand Mods" and "Totals". Any other one I should look for?

After seeing the price and the Betas, I'm not buying this until it's far, far cheaper. Until then, I'll stick with SC4.

I'm in a wait-and-see mode. I might buy it down the line especially if they resolve the online issue.
