ugh... having a lot of opportunities to see this building IRL i must say the obvious thing - it is lacking textures. on the other hand, the building elevation changes from time to time. walls used to be bricked, now they are white or something alike. looks like a huge meringue from street level ;)
also... isn't this model lacking the frontage?
There's a legend concerning this building. It is said that it was destroyed because of a hand mark on one of the walls, left by a priest who was shot in reconciliation after the Bloody Sunday massacre in 1939, Bydgoszcz (Bromberg). Nazis couldn't make the hand mark fade with the rest of the wall so they have decided to raze it.
There is also another explanation for destroying the church - Nazis planned on building a new city hall to add German accents to the architecture of Old Market Square.
