I can not get in to chat. Nor can someone I contacted. This person claims that they were in chat "earlier" but I swear I saw them in there a few minutes ago. I was in chat until my wifi disconnected me. We both get authentication failed messages. I use Chrome. This has happened to be before, in the same circumstances (disconnected from my end). I've also noticed I do not get autokicked for inactivity anymore. I tend to toss myself in bed when I go to bed irregardless of what's open on my browser, for the past two days, chat remained open for the entire time. I think that this info may, hopefully, lead to a solution. Thank you. edit - I've tried logging in and out. I will now try a total browser restart edit - the poster below is the "someone I contacted". I tried a browser restart and still can not get in. I am trying to get a hold of someone in chat to tell me if I am logged in, and if so, to ask to be kicked, to see if that fixes the problem. edit - I'm in chat every day, multiple times a day, and have only had problems in the ways explained above. edit - I've had site admins tell me they are having difficulty getting in right now as well :\ edit - I've been able to figure out my account is not logged into chat. It looks like chrome is not working with chat ATM. I will try another browser and return here to report back. edit - Firefox, IE, and Opera do not work either. I normally use Chrome, so I dont know what versions these other browsers are, but they are as old as they are allowed to be (IE, the only updates to them are any automatic updates forced) I'm going to "sit and wait" as the above is everything I know how to do.

I'm not certain it is logical to blame modders for EA not making a SC5. The modders did not just "complain", they built a NAM.

This is my first upload, please be kind! This is an upload of a map of Ulster, focusing on Northern Ireland. It is not to scale, rather, it is about 5:1 to scale (IE this SC map is 5 times smaller than real life). I've done this for two reasons. First, the programs I used to create the map, create it on this scale. Secondly, I wanted a region that would not overwhelm me or my computer as being "too big" There may be some questions so I will deal with them now: Q: What's with all the black space on the config file? A: I wanted a Northern Ireland region, and the config file is designed to show only NI and not the rest of Ulster. The map, though, has most of Ulster (save the southern bits of Cavan etc) and you can rejig the config yourself if you wish to show all of it. Q: What's with the "water panhandle"? A: Without it, you can not scroll to the entire map (at least, I can't). It seems that SC4 judges how much "scroll area" you need by how wide and tall the cities in your config file are. With ample "black space" like on this one, it causes scrolling problems. If you know a workaround please let me know. Q: What's up with the cliffs at Lough Neagh? A: The Lough is above sea level, and in order to easily render it, I just reduced it to sea level without adjusting the nearby terrain (again, this is my first try!) Q: Why is the map so amateur? A: It is my first map, but also, is a beta of sorts. I want to see if anyone likes it, and if anyone cares for this scale. If so, I will focus my efforts here on map making, and, start with a better map of Ulster. Q: How do I function this file? A: Unzip it, then, render the "Ulster" map in SC4 Terraformer, using RGB as the base and not greyscale. There are tutorials on how to do this around ST. Q: Who are you? I've never seen you before; where can I find you? A: I'm Teddy. If I'm not in the ST chat room, chances are, I'm not online! -- Updated (30 mins after original upload) to cut file size in half. -
