hi, how do i make a config bmp from a greyscale map . i downloaded a region map i wanted to use but its just a greyscale pic so when i load it its just flat green squares i checked the omni bus and there was 1 article but it didnt really tell me what i needed to know. or is there an easier way to do this? thanks in advance mike

i might wait on that 1 im going to loosely model my city off new haven connecticut the home of yale university...also has some of the worst ghettos plenty of commercial industrial and basically a well rounded city

hi everyone, i was hoping someone could help me. im kind of new to sc4 and comepletly clueless on the custom content and need to be walked through it a little. i am trying to build an industrial city and would like to have seaports, frieght trains, trucking ,wharehouses industry etcetera. i have already downloaded the container seaport and the dependancies. do i need the plop leveling tool? can you point me in the right direction for a good railroad mod and a trucking mod as well and what i would need to go with them. also any other advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated. thanks, mike

hi everyone. just wanted to introduce myself. im mike and im new to the site and pretty much to sc4 also. i tried it once a few years ago but didnt have much time to devote to it. but here i am im going to get started on my first city but i dont really have a plan. im not quite sure where to start. i have the nam and a few other of the recommended downloads installed so i guess im just going to wing it and see where that takes me. i do have a few questions tho. as time goes by and i have more than 1 city will my sims travel to the next city over to work or do they stay close to home? just wondering if its possible to have primarily residential and commercial city and have them commute for industrial and office building jobs? thanks, mike
