This topic is only inviting enemies from the other side of the fence. Cities XL 2012 on Steam is now 75% off. The fight has barely even begun. Reminds me of the desperate price cuts they did with Societies and Destinations. -
Presumably you would need good transit options, just like in reality. Well of course...that's not an option with how they've designed the latest game though. High density development will only occur on higher capacity streets. Skyscrapers to grow along a single 2-lane street? Seriously?? Is that "Reality"? Maybe if Dubai had more money than they already have. Since when did setting zoning density became exclusively "hardcore"? How exactly the new zoning system will affect gameplay? [Mod edit: Discuss the topic, not each other]

You can obsess all you want about this, but no one will, as Vince said, "consider your pitch seriously until you can provide some tangible evidenvce." The people who are concerned about SC2013 are not "whiners," they are speculating the quality of SC2013 based on the information we have been given...

And, as said, there are other websited dedicated to SC2K and SC3K. However, if you'd like to see more discussion about these games on ST, why don't you start a topic, as long as the discussion stays civilized.
Also, no one attacked you in your topic. They were having a civilized discussion about your claim.

Barely noticeable external links to moldy SimCity sites, that's their excuse.
Unsurprisingly some members tried to change the topic by making personal attacks against me, essentially calling the way I act as "uncivilized", then shutting the topic I created. They can't face reality that this place isn't a SimCity fan site anymore. But just a modding community that Maxis is trying to please, even when there is obviously very little money to earn from here.

It clearly says on the site's title bar Simtropolis.com - A SimCity Community | SimCity 2013, SimCity 4, SimCity 3000, SimCity 2000 But all I see are SC4 mods die hards. The forum has a dedicated section for Cities XL, but barely any for SC2K and 3K...? While the so-called SimCity 2013 section is littered not with enthusiasts, but with whiners left and right. Then the site goes on calling itself a 'SimCity' community?? What a joke.

If I didn't liked the new game, I would have simply stopped following it to save me the grief... Just like what I did with Societies. It's not as if I'm being forced to actually play it. It's not as if SC4 or its mods would suddenly disappear once the game is out. I consider myself as part of the true core. I've addictively played all of the mainstream PC releases. I genuinely love the games whether they have mods or not. I'm not complaining about the new game. I actually like the direction it's taking. -
