Cowboys were painful. Looked nothing like what I thought they would with all the hype. Giants are pitiful too.

Wow even your parks are a marvel!! PS The one apartment building in your suburb pic stands out, probably just developed wrong...

I originally bought this game (or my parents did) because I needed something else to do while at my grandparents house for a week. Back then I built with minimal thinking, just laying zones and mass transit wherever I felt, with minimal success. Finally after a few years I discovered modds, and made the game much more enjoyable. Now each town I start I have a specific goal, whether realism, mass transit networks, a metropolis. So my goal is to achieve my goals.

We better score 50 a game with the weapons we have. Best TE's and WR's in the league with a stud behind the line. Oh and Blade, do you think Joseph Addai knows what ran him over yet? He got destroyed

Originally posted by: Easy Bakes Preseason bores me quote> Normally it does, but watching the Packers score at will was a blast. Some highlights of the night: 1. Defence got toasted to start it off, but showed much better as game went on 2. Aaron Rodgers 3. Finley cannot be marked, as I say this for the 5th time 4. Offensive line has not allowed a sack, after 50 some last year 5. Aaron Rodgers... 6. Chery punt return. THAT PLAY earned him a spot, along with coming up for the following punt. Blackmon and Swain are going to be cut. 7. Aaron Rodgers 8. Our second team offence had a huge drive on their first team defence, and their first team offence fumbled to our second team D 9. Jake Sheilds had an incredible snag for an INT and 10. Aaron Rodgers

Im just glad year round won't be implemented while I'm still in school. I understand the thought behind retain what is learned, rather than the "absorb and purge method" (which I have used for years to success). However I would be worried that students would burn out. By the time April comes out, I really start getting an urge to have some freedom and time to do something other than learn. Also I feel summer is a crucial learning experience, the social interactions, handling the freedom, opportunities to get a job, and other life lessons that can never be learned in school.

Originally posted by: A Nonny Moose And to brighten our day, this from CBC News. The interesting thing is where did this nut job get his automatic weapon (had it left from his job he was just fired out of?). I don't think much of the Phillipine police security people if that's the case. In any case, automatic weapons have only one use: Killing people. Every effort should be made everywhere to get stuff like this out of the hands of both the public at large, and criminals in general. Penalties for unauthorized possession of one of these should be the equivalent of a life sentence, even on a first offense. Sentencing like this is draconian, but the weapons are miniature WMD's, and should be kept from the wrong hands. {fantasy} Judge: You had an AK-47? Well, then, 47 years, no parole. (/fantasy} I know it is impossible, but life should be made as difficult as possible for people who possess these things. quote> That whole situation was a mess. Especially in the way the Phillipine "SWAT" team took care of it. A sniper shot the gunman, but other soliders freaked and started shooting, most likely all the innocent deaths were caused by "friendly fire". Just a complete mess all around.

Originally posted by: joshriddle . Shout out to Bplax15: If you don't go to school and like it, you aren't going to go to college and like it. And if you don't go to college, then you probably won't get a good job, or a job for that matter. My dad said that manufacturing is slowly coming back here though. quote> Believe me I know that. Luckily I have always received straight A's and have to go to the the university of green bay for math since the school does not provide a math class at the level I am at. It's just that I do not enjoy classes regarding Humanities. I understand that being able to communicate is important, it's writing papers on To Kill a Mockingbird every night that gets old. I take engineering and CAD classes at school that I just love, and actually look forward to. I just hate getting up early, spending 6 hours dragging through subjects that I do not remotely enjoy. I just have the 2 hours that I do enjoy of the school day.

Originally posted by: hummer0328 . Because of this, days are colored: Orange Day and Black Day (the school colors). They switch off every friday between Orange and Black day to keep it even..quote> At my high school we have "Block Days". Once a month or twice during finals. On Wednesday we have our first hour class, third hour class, fifth hour class and seventh hour class. Then on Thursday we have second hour to eighth hour with the every other hour style schedule. The classes are twice as long (90 minutes) on these days. The luches go from four a day to three. It makes it extremely crowded and it's just a mess. Also with the way the regular day schedules are arranged, one some block days you can have something like what I had last year with two study halls in a row with a lunch after. So I had 3 hours and 45 minutes straight of no actual classes, and we have a closed campus so I couldn't leave the school. It gets pretty messy but thankfully it's only once a month.

Originally posted by: Duke87 Connecticut state law requires that public schools be in session at least 180 days every year. Any days of school canceled (e.g. due to snow) must be made up unless the state declares that there was a disaster. quote> They don't have a few exception days? In Wisconsin each school district gets to decide on how many days can be canceled due to weather, fog, cold, snow, ice.... My school district has 3 days allowed for such. So we can have 3 snow days and we don;t have to make those up, but if we get more than 3 we have to make them up at the end of the year. Other districts in central Green Bay and Milwaukee generally have very few of those days because the plows can get through all the roads quicker compared to the spread out suburbs. There is one school district in the middle of nowhere that has nearly 10 days allowed because the students are very spread out on rural roads where plows rarely reach. I'm shocked that Connecticut doesn't have anything like such.

Rail is a great solution to moving workers from town to town. As others have said the freight rail won't do much, but rail moves people very fast from town to town. Just make sure the rail in each city is connect to a station in logical areas.

Go from next week Wednesday to June 8th. The customary breaks along with some other days off. The start of the year schedule is chaotic with early releases and holidays and teacher conventions. I remember last year the first time we had a normal full week of class was the second week of October, basically a month of random scheduling. But after winter break school drags because of minimal holidays or what not until spring break. Many people left for college in the past week around here.
