Here you go: http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/109072/what-is-the-formula-for-converting-population-to-residential-agents-workers-sh/109073#109073 I haven't tried it yet. Still getting used to the game. Steam workshop link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406841580

there's already a mod to fudge the numbers. Actually, pretty much everything everyone complained about has been modded in already. I owuld say 90% of what people want. The rest will come soon. I know OP wasn't talking about multiplying the numbers, but wanted to menti0on this since someone else did.

Question and some concerns.

Laptops tend to default to the built in graphics chip of the processor. Make sure you are using the discrete graphics chip(assuming you have one). -

Reporting back in. I have to be honest here. As much as I complained earlier, I find myself compelled to come back and play the game over and over again. I'm actually having fun and once I started understanding how everything works, it tends to get better and lasts longer. Is it great? In some ways, but it still has a boatload of shortcomings. It's not Simcity 5. One thing I didn't realize the first few days is how integrated the cities are in the same region. Because of that, it makes the game a little more fun. Setting up things in one region helps other regions. I could see how playing with friends would make it even more fun. So, I retract some of my negativity. I guess if you don't expect Simcity 5, tone down your high expectations, the game can be fun for what it is. I don't think it's worth $40. I bought it for $20. Anyway, just trying to be honest and admit hwere I was wrong. -

In a word...frustrating. I just bought it a few days ago. Yes, it's playable. I have some bugs, such as roads disappearing into the hillside and elsewhere. But nothing seems to break. The real problem is the size. There is simply not enough room to do anything. I mean, it's really small. Forget thinking about expanding. You have no chopice but to specialize in something. The RCI concept is thrown out the window. Yes, you can do RCI, but it's literally minutes and the map is full. It's like having a bad ass sports car but you can only drive it around one square block. Everything is repetitive. You are bored to tears after minutes. You'll finish one city and quickly move onto the next. I keep thinking it's going to get better, but it doesn't. This game is the definition of insanity. Insanity = doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Until the space limit is increased, this game is not worth the money IMHO. And even when that happens, it is still debatable. There are still no terraforming tools, low/med/high wealth is determined by which road is placed, big buildings take up a massive amount of valuable space. I know some people will have a problem with this, but CitiesXL is so much better on almost all fronts. Sure, Simcity has some nice things going for it, such as modular add-ons to existing buildings, great simulation mechanics, and more, but you run out of space so fast it is laughable. To me, offline mode is EA's way of saying, "let's bail out of this game now while we still have everyone's money". Now they can stop supporting the game and move on. Also, knowing Simtropolis, this post will get deleted or modified since it isn't "positive". This game could have been everything. But it has been squashed. -
The Reviews on Amazon.com are trickling in...
Helevitia replied to bipolarzebra's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
It says there you bought the game. I have bought something on Amazon. That does not give me the right to reviews things I haven't bought. Can you tell us how you got your percentage? If not, why should we believe you? From Amazon's customer service page: > Does the reviewer have to buy the item from Amazon.com? No. It doesn't matter where an item was purchased, or if it was a gift, or if the reviewer just borrowed it for a weekend. If someone feels moved to write a review of an item, and they are a registered Amazon.com customer, they are welcome.< /p> Forbes explains it here in this article titled Fake Reviews: Amazon's Rotten Core. I took the number (people can edit their reviews) of Amazon verified users and divided it by the total number of reviews in that ranking. You can count yourself if you'd like. You don't have to believe me, but at least believe Amazon. Are you saying you think someone is paying a bunch of money for people to write hundreds of fake negative reviews? There is a chance some have been payed off. I mean people do get paid to write positive reviews for products. Most of the reviews as I have posted are from people who are angry fanboys, or just angry at EA who had no intent of buying the game. So instead of actually playing and buying the game, said people decided to spout off on Amazon and other sites. The main point is, you don't have to buy the product to post a review. "angry fanboys" need I remind you that we are all posting on a message board exclusively for SimCity. I think that would make us fanboys. thus calling all the negative reviews on amazon "angry fanboys" seems a bit hypocritical. Not really. Those of us who liked the betas and the final game (when we can get it to work), are looked down upon on this board alone (that is putting it nicely). Many of the people who have hated the game from the early days have gone out of their way to target anyone who remotely had anything positive to say about this game. They will continue to do so until the mods finally shut down this board or start banning people. We even had people post threads on this board stating the mods were going out of their way to crush negative opinions to this game and backing those who liked the game. These people derail any and all topics that aren't negative towards EA or the game. I mean there is something wrong with a person when they have that much of an emotional connection to a game (or any product for that matter). I wonder when the Simcity 4 mafia will finally move on with their lives. Is it time to make this site into an exclusive Simcity 4 forums? I tried to post my opinion early on. I even read the rules of the forums. As soon as I posted a couple of things, my posts were changed and I was asked in PM to tone it down, even though I didn't say anything against anyone. I was respectful, courteous, and followed the rules. So yes, I do believe negative opinion was getting crushed. You see, you said, "there is something wrong with a person" which should technically be called out by the mods, but they won't do it. You want to know what I got called out for? I said, "I feel like puking". Yes, that is why my post was changed. I was not trolling, calling anybody names, or anything else, I simply stated my opinion, where as you are saying that all of us with negative attitudes are somehow damaged. So I end with this...I'm happy and sad the game is an utter failure at this point. I truly hope EA learns a HUGE lesson here. They got what they deserved. -
I think it's worth getting. I don't have any memory leaks. It's not the best "simulation" compared to simcity, but it sure is pretty. Everything looks pretty realistic, enough mods to keep me happy, huge maps, etc...I don't understand why so many people complain about this game. IMHO, it's 10x better than Simcity 2013.

Looking for thoughts and opinions from people who weren't going to buy, but did
Helevitia replied to Helevitia's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Interesting. Thanks for your feedback. I only played the beta once and hated it, but I think I'd have the same thoughts as you if I bought it. I really want to like it and buy it, but I just don't see me liking it unfortunately Well, report back once you've had some time with the game. Thanks! -
We waited 10 years for this?
Helevitia replied to mastorofpuppetz's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Easier way to prove they were lying, turn modem off. The game still plays as it should for a good 20 minutes, traffic flowing finding the correct paths, water/power/sewage all doing as it should.... granted region play won't work but thats only sending a couple numbers every 20 minutes or so. I'm sure people will come up with 3rd party hacks that will respond to DRM queries and server queries which will allow you to continue playing offline indefinitely. -

Just wondering if there are any people out there who were more on the pessimistic side, but couldn't help buy the game? If you did, what are your thoughts now? Do you feel the same? Is there anything that surprised you in a positive way? Anything worse than you thought? Now, I know that there have been a ton of problems with the launch. I'm not talking about the server issues, the wait times, bugs, etc...I'm talking about the actual game play. -
Simcity reviews are in: the embargo is lifted!
Helevitia replied to Xenocity's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Are you aware that what you're saying is slanderous? Unless you have evidence to back up your allegation, I suggest you don't insult a journalists credibility. I have been a reader of Polygon since its inception, and I can tell you that I have found no other gaming review site as transparent and well written. Just because you disagree with a review is no reason to make baseless accusations. It's a well known industry FACT that reviewers are paid off all the time. He might not be able to tell you exactly which ones are being paid, but we can make educated guesses. I haven't read the polygon review, but I personally trust Ars Technica as a highly reputable sight. They've pretty much said what I've been thinking all along. -

I see this game failing. They took most of the fun out of it. You can't even save a game. That means I'll be stressed out instead of relaxing and enjoying myself which is one of the many reasons I liked past sim cities. It's funny, I hear the cheerleaders saying how they are sick of all of the negative people on these threads. Well, I'm sick of all of the positive people on these threads. It's comical to listen to people try and make this game sound better than it is. I bought Cities XL Platinum for $4.99(since I already owned Cities XL 2011) and I've been having a blast. Sure, it's got it's own shortcomings, but at least I can pretty much do what I want. I think Ars's review sums up what we've all been saying all along, which is, this game is just too small, too many restrictions, and bogged down with EA economics(read: trying to figure out the maximum way to take our money). The other thing I've learned by reading the reviews is that they made the simulation too realistic. Most game companies learned early on that if you make something too realistic, you end up taking out the fun of playing a game. That's exactly what happened here, they took the fun part out. -
Expansion packs for SimCity
Helevitia replied to thegametrent22's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Hopefully it will be things that will make we want to buy the game at some point. Things such as terraforming, bigger cities, hills(lol), you know, core components -
An open plea to everyone critical of Maxis
Helevitia replied to VeritaScientia's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Well, I guess saying "I want to puke" and telling someone to "stop cheerleading for EA" is considered insulting another person and I've been censored by the simtropolis police. So, I will publicly say that I'm sorry if I offended anyone even if I don't agree with the accusations. I can't, in good conscience continue to post here for being censored for the above, so have fun everyone, I'm out... -
