  1. @ LivingInThePast : yes, I found some of the Chris Adam's Bats and lots lately. Happily, we are not exactly focused on the same goals and I find most ot his creations very usefull (and marvelous I must say, he is a real master...). Many thanks for your feedback and suggestions, always welcome when someone share his knowledge ^^ By the way, I wanted to suggest every visitors to visit my last CJ entry. A main update as the Belleville small Town is not too far from the end... Beaujolais Valley : Starting Belleville (Part IV) At last, I wanted to show you something I forgot to say few weeks ago : I am proud to be in the last Stex DVD to follow the proposal of Dirk to share an exclusive model I made. It is the final release of my DeluxeMinisheriff as you can see in that picture I made to join to my files in the DVD.

  4. Beaujolais Valley : Starting Belleville

@ kingdiz_55 : Done ! I followed your advice (and this of some friends). Hope that this complement well my city.  @ psander5 : Many thanks psander5. I saw your map (thanks to show them) and I find them gorgeous. Have you started your CJ with these ?
  5. Since I am (almost) happy with my typicals south French Buildings I started to build the small town of Belleville. The result at this step is quite pleasing enough to show you some views. hope you would like it even if many works is still necessary to improve all this. Please, don't pay attention to the many details that are wrong or laking... And forgive me for my english ^^ Your feedbacks are very welcome ! To end this new entry, let me publish here 2 scenery I like. Not really finished too, but pretty good for my eyes...
  6. Thanks a lot you two ! @ Tenkidus :  I am balanced between making realistic cities or making a pretty one (something close to a kind of golden age, vintage or 50'). As my purpose with this region is to do something pretty and my inspiration for the advertisments is coming from comics, I think I will let the as this. But, I m sure of nothing... ^^ .
  7. Commercial Center Kerdaro 1

Very god ! ll test it in my Beaujolais Valley soon...
  8. Thanks for the compliment.  Agree with you ! I planed for next updates to use more plugins like those for cars and trains.
  9. Aldi Shop

Excellent for small town ! Just put one or to parkings around and it can fit many cases. ! Thank for sharing. 5/5
  10. Tanks a lot Scirius54 ! By the way, I wanted to notify 2 new updates in my CJ. Few details but that can make a lot... Just follow this link : www.simtropolis.com/cityjournals/
  11. Closer view to the wall painted advertises. All pictures are inspirated by "Les aventures de Tintin", the comics by Hergé. Who know why there is a Nougat called "Tchouk Tchouk" ?
  12. So many things to do, so little time... Hope you d like this new entry. I am waiting for your feedbacks!
  13. As you can see in my CJ, I am batting some new houses to suit with my Beaujolais Valley design. A total of about 20 models are planed and 6 are already made... These are French houses and buildings very common in the center and south of France (but not the far south like Provence or Côte d'Azur where houses are more Mediterranean styled). These days, I am planing some improvements to this serie like making some variations of colors on the roofs, the walls, the windows frames, etc. Also, making some shop signs as props like "restaurants" or "café-tabac" typical in France. In this way, I had the idea yesterday to create some windows box with geranium, as props. I find it pretty cool and really in touch with the look of some rurals towns and villages. In France, we have a kind of annual competition between the towns that is called "Villages Fleuris" (Villages with flowers). I am searching other ideas like this one. Easy to put on a building (or props) to make random variations while ploping them (using the family prop properties to change props at each clic or while growing...). For example, I think to create some really different cheminees terminations to put them on the existant and basic model I did yet. Or putting some antenas of different sorts... Have you got any other ideas or feedback about this ? For example, why not creating the doors as props to vary them ? As always, like for my Ruralset, I am searching new ideas that focus on simple concepts like puzzles and one vision that could be sum up like this : "How obtaining more with few" ? More variety, more usability, more originality, more perennial, etc. On the pict below, the window boxes come with 3 sorts : red, yellow and mixed geraniums :
  14. Some people told me recently to use the Euro road texture. I had some difficulty to find them and to be sure it was the good version. Since I am "working" (!) again on SC4 only from a few monthes, I had to check all these new stuffs like plugins and tools to manage or create them. For my own needs, I use to take screenshots of my SimCity4 StartupManager directories in goal to keep a sort of log of my development profil. In case of the need to recreate one profil after a crash (I had this issue sometime...). Of course, I often backup the SimCity 4 StartupManager.cfg file (at the root of the simcity4 folder). So, I find it a good to publish here my plugins screenshots, in goal to share our knowledge about the best plugins or to give someone infos about what plugins I am using in my Beaujolais Valley. Among this, I find it a good way to give tribute to the authors of all these marvelous plugins ! Feedback are really welcome ! PS : I can't publish this entry without paying a tribute to the author of SimCity 4 StartupManager, Jean-Luc Picard. A really usefull tool even if pretty hard to handle at the begining. Actually, I could not work without it and I strongly recommand it ! Below, a screen of this tool while editing the profils.
  15. Just a simple word to tell you that my CJ show some of my new projects that are coming. As a short list of what is coming : - new vineyards(almost completed. I am now asking me f I try to put them seasonal or not. Hard work...); - new rural items (to complete the Ruralset I made and put on the Stex); - new south France buildings and houses (half completed). I ll have to handle the family prop component to bring this serie at a high usability level...; - new props and shop signs (like window boxes with geranium or "Café-Tabac" shop sign) - etc. I will post here soon some details about of these works. To have a global view on these, visit the last entres on my CJ : Beaujolais Valley - Country of The Ten Villages Keep in touch !
