A mechanics question to all you SimCity Gurus. I've got a nice little low-density residential area in one corner of my big city. I've received the private school reward and I'd like to place it here. My question is, should i remove the existing elementary school that is already covering this area, or leave it? 1: My main question is, do the 2 schools actually cater to different wealth level sims, or will the low-income sims who happen to be in the private school radius still go to the private school if the public school isn't there anymore? 2: I'm not concerned about capacity, it's a low-density area and I intend to keep in that way for aesthetic reasons, so in terms of student capacity I don't need 2 schools. 3: I heard that the private school also counts as a highschool. Is that true? If so, should I remove the highschool I have in that area as well? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for all the suggestions/help guys. I went ahead and re-ran the NAM installer with the extra options checked (and all the options I had before also checked). Turning lanes are implemented now, and those darn 1-way arrows are less frequent.

When you say "check only the optional features" Should I uncheck all the things I have already installed? (basically everything else) or should I keep all the things I already have installed still checked?

Hi all. I searched the forums, the googles, and the NAM FAQ for the answer to this but didn't find it. Still I apologize is this is a common question. I installed the latest version of the NAM a few days ago, and I realized afterwards that I want road turning lanes and reduced one-way arrows, two optional features that I didn't check the first time I installed. I already have several cities using NAM puzzle pieces extensively. How can I go about "reinstalling" NAM to get those two optional features added in? Do I have to uninstall first or can I just rerun the installer? Will doing either of those things mess up the cities I already have built? Again, I'm not installing a new version, I'm going to use the same package I've already downloaded, just with a couple extra features checked. Thanks in advance.
