  2. xlnation is down at the moment, but it hasn't been closed. You issue is probably related to something you placed in your city that came with one mod... No need to remove all the files you download, just check in the city what's going wrong!

  4. Oh, it's been a while... Now, here's some good news: finished some projects and I've got now more time to get back to CitiesXL, in March I bought CXL Platinum - but then because of university, I only managed to install it two days ago! What I really want to do in the next weeks is updating some of my old mods: * Unlocker Mod v6 is planned, will support CXL Platinum (I think CXL12 too) and the User Interface Mod. I discovered that most of the features of the old mod are now included in the UIM, so v6 will be just a collection of unlocked buildings (that for some reason are still locked in the game). * CXL HD v1.5 is under development, you can see two screenshots at the end of this post... Got some problems with tree rendering, but at least it doesn't lage anymore while updating shadows (as it did in CXL11)! standard screenshot screenshot with modded settings See you soon!

CitiesXL Mods FAQ Q: How do I install a mod? A: Step by step: 1. Download the mod (.patch) or the archive (.rar / .zip). 2. Extract files if you downloaded an archive. 3. Put all the files in your "paks" folder (CitiesXL/Paks) Q: I've downloaded Unlocker Mod v2, what should I do now? can helps you. Q: Game crashes after login. A: You have something not compatible in your pak folder. Please read carefully the readme included or the instructions you found in the download page, you should see something about compatibility. Try to empty your paks folder from all the other mods (be sure you didn't delete MC files). If you can't find the answer in the download page or if the game crashes also with a "clean" folder, send a private message to the author. (same thing if you find a new mod that is not compatible) Q: Game crashes while playing. A: Probably that crash is a known bug (you'll find a list in the download page). If you think that your error isn't listed there, contact the author. Q: What should I ask when I send a private message to the author? A: Please respect this list, it will be easier to solve your problem: 1. I've got Limited Edition / Standard Edition (choose). 2.   7. What is the NEXL: The Network Expansion XL is a new kind of mod, that will improve and add functional networks in CitiesXL. There's nothing official yet, but this mod will probably feature trains, ships, airplanes and other small networks. We're going to post pictures of the development here. This post will be update from time to time with the latest news. There are similar threads at other forums too - use the one you like the most to ask things This is... the NEXL big thing Who's behind: Behind this project there's a team that will grow over the time, if other modders are interested to join. At the moment there are four members: * Altiris * GlobexCo * Mr-Tom * Pharmist Screenshots: When will it be available? No ETA... it's coming when it's done.   9. This thread has been opened for common issues (especially ones related to modding), with CXL 2009 and 2011. If you want to ask a question, or make a comment about a feature of the game, then create a new topic. Here we record only problems and solutions related to the correct functioning of the existing features. This includes bugs and obvious malfunctions (like a house not filling with residents despite favorable conditions), but it doesn't include things like the coverage of hospitals that you think should be larger, or the fact that leisure buildings don't generate profit, but cost your city money. If you solved a problem, then please post here your issue and the solution, so other people with same problem can find the answer here. In order to get better help, please follow this list: * explain your issue "Game crashes" is not enough. Try to explain how, when (and maybe why) your game crashed / had problems. * add details Adding details means a faster and correct solution. If you can, post PC specs and a list of mods in your folder. * add a log If your game crashes (when playing, or before login), submit a "log". You can find a log here: (enable hidden folders) C:\Documents and settings\Username\AppData\Local\Monte Cristo\Cities XL\log (XP) C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Monte Cristo\Cities XL\log (Vista/7) Try to reproduce the crash, then go to that folder and find the latest .log file. If the file is too big to attach in forums, then open it with notepad and copy/paste in forums the last lines (more than 1 please). Before asking, check these things: * make sure you don't have incompatible mods installed * make sure you have got the latest version of citiesXL (1.1.0.457) * make sure your mods are updated * if you downloaded a mod from STEX, then try to download it again * if game crashes when opening a city, then try create a new one and see what happens * many of the CXL 2009 mods currently prevent CXL 2011 from functioning correctly, and/or introduce bugs/problems. This is not an issue to bring with Focus Home, but an issue related to the mod you're trying to use. So, before reporting a problem, try to uninstall the mod, or check here for an update of the mod.

(yes, I'm announcing the sixth version of the mod ) Then, other news: 5.1 update will be released in August, and will feature few bug fixes; for those waiting for trains and other cool things, I'm going to announce "the next big thing" in few days - stay tuned
