Totally love this idea! Especially since it sounds exactly like what ill be doin in a few years time (hopefully) city planning!

well from the trailer i saw that you could plop down certain buildings (like HQ's) and that would spur growth around them (kinda like the Keystone lots Buggi was envisioning for his game boomtown) which i thought was very cool.

guys. it is still VERY early & we dont have a ton of information yet. I assume (yes ASSume) that EA wouldnt be stupid enough to take a singleplayer game, make it a multi player but throw away the single player aspect entirely. so lets calm down. . . for now (cuz if this is true i will surely sharpen my pitchfork)

watched the annoncement live. loved it(nearly died i was so happy) i was also really impressed by the release. from how they described it, it really looks like their dedicated to this and are FINALLY listening to the community (& the fact that maxis is making it is a good sign)! can't wait for more info on this!

I have been looking over these maps for forever and working up the nerve (& the energy) to make my own transit map, mostly because a lot of these maps are really outstanding. They seem to detailed and realistic to be of digital cities and now my maps! this first one is the subway/tram map of my own city Buxton & the surrounding area this is the northern suburb of Orange and its tram line (it wouldn't all fit on one map) what do you guys think of my first map? ? ?

i would love all those diasters except the monster one. instead a riot would be much cooler. i wanna keep the disasters from this world

the thing i liked the best bout simcity4 waz the conected cites. however somtimes i had regions completly covered with cities and the game would crash. another thing is if cities xl followed simcity 4 with rapid transit let the stations be allowed to be plopped onto the sidewalks directly instead of using valuable tiles for bus stops and subway stations

i was thinkin of buyin cities xl b4 i even knew bout the online options. i dont think id use the option of showin the world my creations 2 much but who knows?

what im most excited about is there taking ideas from simcity4 and expanding even further.i just want to know the offical release date
