Date:7/7/2004 12:21:54 PM Author:mentarman Date: 7/7/2004 11:58:53 AM Author: Bob, I have all my settings on high except shadows (medium). I have no idea why props don't show, one obvious one is car parks at grocery stores etc changing to grass. Useful if you're attending a music concert in an open field, or going to the British Grand Prix, BUT NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF A CITY!!!! If anyone can offer help, I would be very grateful. Thanks for your comments. A quote> Make sure you have all the texture file dependencies listed in the readme for the lots by SimGoober and whatever else you use. After you've gotten the texture files and unzipped them, or if you already have them, then look inside the folders for each one. I was having the same problem, and it turned out that inside one of the zip files I downloaded and unzipped was ANOTHER zip file that needed to be unzipped. Maybe this is your problem as well?quote> Aaah, that could be it! Thanx mate!!!!!

Date:7/7/2004 10:15:55 AM Author:bob3003 Andy, are you interested in having the props show? Then go to the Visual Details tab in the settings toolbar and set detail on High. This also solves the problem of dissappering buildings. ~bob quote> Bob, I have all my settings on high except shadows (medium). Date:7/7/2004 10:14:41 AM Author:frogface good job once the suburbs are added it will be much better, i also like the huge parks, something that more CJ's need question: did you get the name 'seven sisters' from the park in the south east? i live near that area so i was just wondering since it sounded pretty familiar, or am i totally wrong? quote> Thanks. I don't usually blatantly steal names I just mix and merge them. With Seven Sisters, there's an area in North London quite close to Tottenham called Seven Sisters. I love the name and couldn't resist! Is that where you mean? Not sure if there's a park there....

Only posting in bits and pieces as the site keeps logging me off.... Next here, herds of wild deer have made Thistlehurst Common their home. Mayor George officially set the area aside during his speech at the Planning and Transportation Department's annual dinner and ball. It's time to give a little back....... New Expansion Sees Arrival Of Thistlehurst Mayor George has decided to complete the encirclement of Norwich's south side with Thistlehurst. Thistlehurst has an awkward geographical location, with Kelseyheath to the east, City Of Norwich Airport to the north-east, the Pentney area of Oakhill to and A4 to the north and the imposing Thistlehurst Common to the south-west. Thistlehurst is fed by two main trunk roads, the A400 from Oakhill and the A3 from Kelseyheath. First picture here is an aerial view, with place labels... The Seven Sisters area. It got it's name from..... well, can you guess???

Date:7/4/2004 4:09:51 PM Author:Dannato Here goes. Nice Plazas you got there in your quickie update. Heartsease Shopping Centre looks so good, and so realistic. And as I mentioned, I just love how you do those large parks. Actually, that's how big they should be if you go for accuracy. BTW, Not watching the Euro Football Championships since Englang had to go back home, eh? quote> To be honest I'm surprised England got as far as they did. The team is full of prima donnas esp. Beckham, the players and the press pick the team and the coach seems to have lost all tactical awareness. We could take a few lessons from the likes of Greece. About the city, thanks for the comments and yes, I do like to make things realistic as far as the game will allow. The main parks in London seem to be 500-600 acres so I thought I'd try to mirror this (assuming that 1 tile = 16 metres in length). Thanks again.
