Nope - it worked just fine until LetThereBeLight
-
Yes, I always start a new scene, but I still get the same error when exporting. Also, my "advanced lighting" option is gone from the 'render' menu - I need it for my school 3D design stuff. Is there any way I can get it back? I cant see it ever since I installed Lettherebelight...
-
Hmm, glad I sorted that out, but I'm still gettin a code = 6 error... And my model is nothing special just a sphere I made to test that the exports work....
-
Here are my unit setups: should I change something?
-
I re-set my units and installed let there be light (with the Max2k update), but I' still getting a code 6 error message :/
-
I did everything according to the instructions (i think) but I'm still getting an error message when I export the BAT using 3DS max. First, I get an error which says something about my version of trunite not being compatible with my version of 3DS Max. Then, when I create the BAT (in this case a test sphere smaller than a SC4 tile), refit the LODs, export the LODs, import them to Gmax and then export them, I get a code = 6 error message... Bigger This is where I have installed 3DS Max: Bigger Also, when I import the LODs in Gmax I'm supposed to have the units to "generic" and click on "don't convert units", right? When I do that, the LODs are huge (you can't see the edges on a zoom 5) and I get a code = 6 again... Bigger help? What am I doing wrong?

BAT - Troubleshooting & General Discussion
balkair replied to Jasoncw's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
for some reason, none of my BATs have shadows - my game doesnt either. Ever since I got my new computer the shadows are very bad quality so I rather not have them turned on at all... As for my lights, they show up just fine in the BAT renders but not in the game... And thanks, I shall talk with the NAM team about my problem -
BAT - Troubleshooting & General Discussion

yes, of course... -
hello! I've been trying to install BAT4MAX for a few days now, but with no success... This is where I installed 3DS Max 2010: and my BATFORMAX file: I have taken a look at the first page where a person had a similar problem to mine, but I can't figure out whats wrong :/ I export the LODs, import them in BAT and then export them, but when I click the Get Model Name button and select the file I get this error: Any idea on what the problem might be and how to fix it? :/ Its driving me nuts... Also, on BAT, when I import my LODs in order to export them, when the unit system is in generic units and I click do not convert units, the LODs turn out so big that I cant see their edges even in zoom 5! So i convert the units to meters and when i import the LODs I have to click on convert units, in order for the LODs to turn out correctly and export correctly. Otherwise, they wont export - it takes forever and no progress is made - its stuck at 13%.... help...? xD

BAT - Troubleshooting & General Discussion
balkair replied to Jasoncw's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
hello! I have recently made a BAT for my CJ, and I am having problems with it... On a far-out zoom it looks fine, but when I zoom in there appears to be a problem with the image file: The nightlights won't show either, in the game, even though they appear in the BAT renders... Also, my computer cannot handle very large BATs, and I was wondering if someone could tell me what the system requirements for 3DS Max to handle large files without lugs are Any help would be appreciated Mike -
Hello, I'm new with 3DS Max and all, and I'm having trouble exporting my work :/ I export the LODs, then export those from BAT and then when I press the "get model name" button in 3DS Max and select my model I get this error: -- type error call needs function or class, got: unidentified Am I doing something wrong? Please, if you know what is wrong, tell me how to fix it Thanks in advance, Mike

March 21st: A small teaser of what to expect :)

Just a small teaser on what i'm working on, the new government sector: Comments are appreciated -
Riot Update: 2 days ago: Today a demonstration at the Rainbow District of Ylmeria turned violent, and two buildings were set on fire and completely distroyed, right by the Hotel Rainbow. Later on a demonstration at the Hypertrophy district of Ylmeria also turned violent and the protesters set fire to two kiosks outside the Institute of Hypertrophy Studies, which was also set aflame and is still burning. The Prime Minister refused to declare a State of Emergency and made it clear that the government would use the military if the situation worsens. So far there have been 4,502 arrests, 14,893 injuries and 23 deaths according to non-Shalman sources. The Government rejects the later two. The Prime Minister also condemned the rioting which occured in other nations of the Confederacy of Free Regions to support the Shalman Free Government which supports the rioting and the fall of the Junta. The Shalman Free Government is based in the Hiigaran Confederacy. Yesterday: Yesterday evening more demonstrations were held which were eventually halted by tanks of the Imperial Ground Forces. Several protesters set fire to buildings and kiosks. The Riot Police was forced to use teargas. Workers Unions announced a General Strike, and the workers at Emperor Aldior International Spaceport of Ylmeria set fire to one of the terminals and two of Imperial Spaceline's brand new spaceliners. The number of arrests has reached 56,023 with 3,488 injured and 78 dead. The Government has not confirmed any of those sources. As of today nothing will be working in the Empire, whether public sector or private sector, and even students have stated that there would be demonstrations untill the government steps down. A big demonstration is scheduled for tomorrow in Ylmeria's Imperial College in the outskirts of the Capital of the Empire.

Thanks everyone; comments with the next update!! Here is an update on the Uprising: The protests started out peacefully, however the government ordered that Riot Police take any measures they can to prevent the protestors from reaching Eastside Palace, where the COFR Summit was held. Only five out of thirty-six delegations managed to reach Eastside Palace and the negotiations started as scheduled. However protests turned violent over night, where certain buildings have been set aflame and protests still continue to rage in downtown Ylmeria as well as other major Shalman cities. The Prime Minister stated that all necessary actions would be taken to prevent further demonstrations from taking place, even if that means the army taking action.
