apparently you dont get the point of city journals...

Is there away to make every building abandoned? i've tried making taxes 20%, taking away all utilities, services, etc. i can't make the city abandoned. Anybody know how? Oh, and radiation makes everyone move out, but buildings remain the same. Do i have a mod on or something?

i downloaded a hell of a lot of things. like r there house packs i could get or something? like what should i change? Critisism is welcomed.

Finally after a long time, i've come to re-update this thread with the newest creation, Stewie Island. Founded in 2552, the island wanted to go back in the past for the island and make a good getaway location for all with a sprawling cruise port and marvelous harbor with breathtaking views of woods, cliffs, and oceans. However there was one LITTLE flaw with that plan... The island is located 22 miles off the coast of mainland Voi. It consists of 4 presumably inactive volcanoes, and 1 active one. The active volcano is on the southeastern most corner of the island far from the metro area. The following are the other 4 inactive volcanoes. The government at the time decided to start the harbor first. In one year with manual labor and POW's from the UN conquests, it was complete. A perfect squared off harbor perfect for the perfect boardwalk, and that's what happened. Three years later, the entire Norther coast was filled with marina's, fishing piers, cafes, and shopping. Then the construction on the facilities began inluding a small airport, the only real way in and out. The school, police, hospitals, medical, water, garbage, and electricity were all built. A year and a half prior to the utilities and services to be completed, the construction began for the downtown and island road/tunnel/pipe system. The Harbor The Downtown The year, 2560, and the first inhabitants and offices were being built. A view of the main are and u can clearly see the 5 volcanoes As the city expanded, peoples fears about living in the volcanoes lessened and the result...an expansion of housing in close proximity of the volcanoes. OKAY, SORRY BOUT THAT GUYS. THE CODING IS DIFFERENT AT SIM PEG. ANYWAYS, TIME FOR UPDATE 2.... OK, the year is 2050. The time to move into the new country is now. In 2050, the government alloted governor tim burn to create a new city on the river basin into the atlantic. A happening place to put about 25,000 people in about 10 years. What ended up happening, even i couldn't expect. In 5 years, the city grew to a population of over 100,000 people. I took alot of pictures during the development, and it will be split into 2 different updates... Overview of the city-2055 Industrial district-2051 Residential south shore plans-2052 Bustling Neighborhood-2053 McHenery Park-2053 David Dehl Memorial Stadium-2054. Following the World Cup hosted in the United States, the small government of Riverbrook decided to build its first stadium, the first stadium in Voi. Opening night, and the following 145 straight games were sold out. The Riverbrook North beat the Riverbrook South opening and closing night. They were broadcasted in all bars and restaurants. A small riot broke out after the game, nothing the police couldn't handle... [img width=640 height=480] STORM ALERT......STORM ALERT... On august 6th, 2055, a F-4 tornado ripped through the industrial district of Riverbrook. It raced across quickly during the height of rush hour. It raced North East and crossed UN-7 before it vanished right back into the air. 287 people were killed, most in their cars on the interstate while getting to work. However, the early warning sirens worked like a charm and not too many people were killed in the building themselves thatnx to the government required storm shelters.

Well, i have the "no news ticker" mod on, and it says it will still give me the message to expand, but i dont get the,. All my airports are maxed out, and is there like a cheat or command to expand it?

Hello everyone and welcome to the great tour and history lesson of the country of Voi. Voi is based in the 2021 in a little known area of the world. Since the effects of global warming, the ice glaciers in the far north melted and caused flooding to the coastal regions of the World. Millions died as they couldn't get out of the tsunami wave rushing ashore. The economies of the world struggled for years. Finally in the year 2031, ten years after the mega disaster, the world united to form the united nations. They wanted to build a world capital, and no better place that the top of the world. Thats where the country of voi started.... Welcome....now that you've heard the hostory, lets see what the country looks like... The Main Metro Area...still being worked on as you can tell The Industrial Belt based on the canal dug in 2025 This is the volcanic island, part of the lilly island chain. It has the most possibility of development... The other 2 island of the lillly island chain Welcome to Gold Shores. Business owners and residential developers are already on a waiting list to build up this area. The Country of Voi, and the UN are struggling to start the building. Finally in 2031, the building of the massive highway system was started. It consists of 5 major highways, and 3 smaller highways. The goal was to link all major locations icluding the farm belt, and the Industrial belt. Also, the main metro areas were linked fully, and the highways were done in 2040. This shows the colorcoded highway systems. ******************************************************************** UPDATE: Farmers on the move... Since the massive global climate change, it has left most of europe in an icy winterwonderland, while leaving the southern US as the biggest desert in the world. But, where the UN capital, Voi, the temps are perfect for growing plants and life. The leaders of the UN all got together and decided the farms should be up and running and harvesting by the time cities begin to take shape. In 2041, the first farm community Frosted Plains was set up. It hap a population just a little over 100. The town is built aroung a little government building, and a plaza to gather around. Shops adorn the main drag... Frosted Plains... ******************************************************************** At the same time, another farming community is being worked on called McGovern Fields, named after the president of the United States before he was assassinated in 2025 for speaking of Global Climate Change. This town is smaller that Frosted plains, but has an actual police station for the area. Overview of the town City Plaza Overview of farms ********************************************************************* Tripolie Fields is the first major development of the Voi/UN. It has a population around 200, but is still a farming community. It has a large school, hospital, police, and fire station. These structures are also being used for all the other town in the region. When it was developed in 2041, the governor of the town wanted to make his town large, over the others anyways.
