Fohacidal you could always donate to Simtropolis and they'll send you a nice DVD full of great buildings, props and tools, or just search the STEX and pick them out individually or even join simcity 4 devotion which is a great site with great buildings.

Just wondering if anyone knew of a New York United Nations building floating around the Simcity universe and where I would be able to obtain it from and please it must be a completed BAT and not a model like the one on the STEX. Thanks. Ohh and DinoBond007, it says access is limited to forums at this stage so it looks as if the site staff are working on the other areas of the site.

I guess if you are a nit picker you could say that Lamborghini is now German, hence the fact that they handle a lot better these days, but I'm gonna have to go for Ferrari FTW!!!!! The Ferrari F40 is still the ultimate supercar pin-up even after 20 years =P

Some guy did a photo tour on flickr of Liberty City and matched them up with the New York city landmarks they are based off in the game. It was quite impressive and it just showed how much attention to detail Rockstar put into the game. Now this makes me sick even thinking about it especially the amount of injury it would cause and I'm only saying it because it's the worst prank I could think of bordering on insanity! Attaching razorblades to a waterslide X.X

Ohh come on Dalton's Bond movie's were a bit more gritty and The Living Daylights was great, but I do agree about Brosnan's rubbish films after Goldeneye. There is one movie I'm surprised no one has mentioned thus far and that is Pearl Harbor with Ben Affleck, extremely cheesy and historically inaccurate at that. It was as if Ben Affleck took on the Japanese single handedly and won, complete rubbish and also the dialogue was bollocks too. Another one to mention is the Miami Vice movie with Colin Farrell's meaningful looks into the camera that just made you want to laugh out loud and what was the deal with having two shower scenes in the one movie?

Simcity 2000 was the first one for me and at the time it was the best game ever, since then I've bought every version released apart from Societies which I refuse to buy because it just doesn't feel like a proper Simcity game. I sure hope that after Spore and the Sims 3 is released Will Wright goes back and makes things right with the Simcity series and makes an unbelievable Simcity 5. Now something like GTA IV style city building would be amazing at least from that perspective, minus the mass homicide of course, lol. Then you could incorporate it with something like The Sims 3 and set your Sims own businesses up, buy real estate etc. It would be something of epic size but I'm thinking with today's technology it could be possible but hey dreams are free.

I guess you could always have Mounties on horseback chasing you as well, would certainly be something different to the squad cars in the previous titles.

I have just been reading a bit about the downloadable content for GTA IV over at kotaku.com and there is speculation that it could in fact have something to do with San Andreas as the next installment. One player was able to find an airline ticket stub in the game with Niko Bellic's name on it with San Andreas as the destination. Other references include billboards in the game advertising $299 flights to San Andreas and pedestrians on mobile phones giving reference to it. Also to further fuel the fire, all previous GTA games have in some way given reference to the sequal such as one contact in the first GTA 3 mentioning to Claude that he will "see you in Miami". It would also be good to see San Andreas with the new technology but it does beg the question, how they would put a region the size of San Andreas into the game with the new technology or if it will just be one of the 3 cities featured. Then again this could just be wishful thinking and we may only get a few extra missions, clothing items and weapons so we'll just have to wait and see.

It's a crime against humanity to suffer Bluray failure or RROD just after GTA IV has been released, I'm surprised there hasn't been rioting in the streets from the hordes of people affected. Then again it could be a blessing in disguise by allowing those people to venture outside and discover the sun. Ohh yeah your_adress_here if you are looking for other helicopters, you could try your luck at the Airport and take one of the Police helicopters they have there, just be warned you get a pretty high star rating once you enter so you gotta be quick.

Actually just recently in the last quarter for Microsoft the Xbox was the only shining light they had and was pretty much the sole contributer in posting them another dose of healthy profit. Add to that the recent doubling of sales in Europe due to a price drop and of course that fantastic attach rate the Xbox seems to have with games, I feel the Xbox 360's light is far from waning.

With regards to the downloadable content for PS3 being announced, I wouldn't bet on it being of the extent of what the Xbox 360 will get considering Microsoft put some serious coin down to the tune of $50 million so they could get an advantage. At the very least Rockstar would have consulted with Microsoft before this announcement for approval as it may have been a breach of contract otherwise and they could have taken Rockstar to the cleaners over it. So as an Xbox 360 owner I'm pretty confident I made the right decision and that it will get the superior downloadable content OR we will get the content a lot sooner than that of the PS3.

It's quite simply a work of art. The dialogue and voice acting are award winning........if only it could be nominated for an Academy Award. It is exactly what you would expect Martin Scorcese to come up with, with a bit of Michael Mann and a dash of Tarantino and John Woo if they combined their huge talents together and produced a game. Hats off to Sam and Dan Houser and the creative geniuses at Rockstar for creating one of the most immersive, open-ended and realistic gaming experiences ever.

Don't get the wrong idea, I'm no fanboy as I have owned a console by each of these developers but after much deliberation I went with an Xbox 360 because it appears to be the most popular console with game developers as it's attach rate suggests of over 7 games per console purchased which is over double that of the PS3's and the Wii. Not only that but they do have what I believe better exclusive titles like Halo, Project Gotham Racing, Gears of War and Bioshock for starters and their online service, even though a paid subscription is needed, is second too none. As far as cutting content for GTA IV because of the limitations of the Xbox 360, that is false, what Rockstar were saying is for any "FUTURE" GTA release they may have issues implementing content because of the Arcade version of the Xbox only being equipt with a 512mb memory card. Since we've waited since 2004 for GTA IV to come out, my money is on the next title being released on the next Gen consoles i.e. the Xbox 720 or the PS4 and even if it is released in this cycle of consoles I wouldn't imagine Microsoft turning a blind eye to what Rockstar are saying, as it is going to be the biggest title of the year for them. I would imagine they will work something out to accommodate the next GTA for their console as their investment of $50 million in additional content has suggested that they are very much wanting to secure it as a franchise on their system. The cursed and feared RROD which initially was a problem for the Xbox 360 with a rumoured 30% failing is being remedied with each and every hardware incarnation they release and I would imagine it will be an oddity in the coming months to have such a problem come up. The Xbox 360 is a true gamer's console really aimed at the hardcore where as the PS3 at the moment is more of a movie buff's machine who likes a side of gaming and the Wii being pretty much aimed at those who like a bit of casual gaming or a family with small children, as many of their titles suggest.

Now for today's update and the theme being Midtown's landmarks, first of all I'll show an overview of Midtown and how much it has grown since my last shot you can find earlier in the CJ. The next shots show zoomed in versions of landmarks in the Midtown area. Firstly we have a shot of the Rockefeller Center a lot I have touched up a bit with some additional props to make it more visually attractive. Next up, we have a shot of the Radio City Music Hall where some of the World's greatest musicians have played and which is also part of the Rockefeller Center Complex. Lastly for this particular update I have included a shot of the famed "Plaza" Hotel which holds sway at the South-East Corner of Central Park, now I myself am not completely sold on the building or buildings of choice I have used and am still looking for the perfect fit, let me know what you think anyway. Now I'm going to end today's update with a bit of a plea to all of you avid Simcity fans and that is to help me in finding a particular BAT, if it exists. I'm really wanting to complete the United Nations Plaza in my next update but without a United Nations Building it's not possible, so I'm asking you all, if you know where I can find one, please can you provide me with a link and it must be a completed building as I'm absolutely rubbish at modelling them myself.

First up we have a couple of shots overlooking a container port development I've been working on with the help of PEG's new port BAT's Finally for this update, I have a shot of the Civic Centre, with Town Hall in Lower Manhattan.
