I think this might be an early version of the CityOne game annouced by IBM today, the graphics look similar to the ones in the trailer for CityOne .. What do you think?%26hl=en%26fs=1%26rel=0%26ap=%2526fmt=18" wmode="opaque">

"People frequently ask, "When are you going to make it so the player can walk around the city?" or "When are you going to make it first-person?" or from the more technically savvy, "When are you going to have a free camera?" The answer to this question should be clear from the discussion above: we will be able do it when PCs become powerful enough for us to do it to our standards of quality. When that day comes, the decision to implement such a feature and how to implement it will be based on the feature's relevance to gameplay"

The number of celestial bodies visible to the naked eye is seven. The stellar objects visible to naked eyes are the Sun, the Moon and the five planets namely, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. Earth is a stellar body but since we are on it, it is 'invisible' in the 'sky'

I think the graphics you see in the trailer are the graphics in the game.. if u look at the roads and highways at the start of the trailer they have moving cars that are clearly not real.. also the towers in the banking part look very like google earth 3d models.. so i think it might be using real world models from google earth?.. i think its a much more advanced version of the first game trailer above..
-
Ya im not sure either.. it could be by the sounds of it when they say "its a serious game" .. also here's the trailer for CityOne which looks awesome but like cities xl .. looks are not everything..
-
Wow this is awesome! i think the reflectivity is jst rite.. Good job!

I came across this on youtube and wondered if this could be used with BAT? If it could this could change simcity for good, i mean then nearly everyone with basic BAT skills could put there own buildings in the game!
-
Im not sure why you choose to say above in 3diff messages.. but as far as im aware there's no modding to turn SC2K into SC4, i don't think its even near possible.. i'd get a better PC..
-
erh id ask SC4DEVOTION.COM for help.. not simtropolis
-
Well the reason im asking this is because i live in the Republic of Ireland and while not being a very small country by land mass.. we are by population which stands now at around 4.5million, Dublin is the only 'real' city (population wise) in Ireland its pop. is now around 1.6million.. which for a country of only 4.5million people this is very large, so all the rest we have are very small cities like Cork the 2nd largest city in Ireland at 274,000, Galway (72,414) or even smaller still Kilkenny 25,000 now to someone who lives in lets say japan these would be just towns but here they are cities, so what way would you define a city just by population or is it something else?

Is there a way to avoid peds and cars disappearing?
yellowguy88 replied to mazisky's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Ya i don't think there anyway.. and if there was it would prop make the game crash 4or 5 times as much as it already does -

Word, due to its complex formatting, doesn't translate into the forum properly. So if you paste stuff from word into your posts, it's not going to come out right. And, you can't just put pictures in a word document and then copy them into a post, regardless. You need to upload those pictures to the internet somewhere (there's an upload to ImageShack feature right in the post editor) and then post the online version. People can't see pictures from your hard drive. quote> Hey duke, Ya i thought as much after dirk mentioned it but i had uploaded the pic's to photobucket and posted them correctly.. only one showed.. would this also be related to the word problem? -
Originally posted by: belfastuniguy I welcome it and hope other states follow. To me it's not about damaging the institution of marriage, becuase to be honest straight people have been doing that rather well themselves. It is also not about pawning gay couples off with 'civil partnerships' it's about allowing them the right to avail of a legal union that others take for granted. No one is saying that religious institutions have to perform gay marriage, I wouldn't ask such a thing, but marriage is NOT a religious union, its a legal union and as such I see no reason why it should be denied to gay people who simply want to marry and give the final seal to their relationship. What harm does that do? Does the marriage of a gay couple suddenly shatter the world around you? I think people need to get a grip of themselves if that believe that and all the religious BS that accompanies such moves.quote> Well said my Northern Friend! This is great news...

Originally posted by: belfastuniguy Surverys mean nothing and are rather subjective. I could of course quote the fact that Ireland was classed as the most desirable place to live by The Economist....so as you can see surveys are not the greatest thing on which to judge a nation. The UN Development Index is now rather outdated seeing as Iceland has went to hell and its economy collapsed and really....not that attractive anymore as a place to live I live and enjoy living in Europe, one of the most historic and culturally significant regions on the planet filled with culture and beautiful cities. In addition to gorgeous landscapes while still having areas that remain small, peaceful and rather quaint. I select Europe with my second choice being Canada.quote> I agree... but I hope your not comparing Ireland to Iceland, Ireland is in a bad place right now but by no means are we the worst in Europe... every country in the world is affected by the global downturn and yes Ireland has suffered more because of the building boom going bust and having an open economy but we are still an attractive place to do business in, with the hardest working work force and the best tax rates in the EU. Originally posted by: fogeybear to be honest, even though i live here, i think ireland is the best place to live,In 2005, Ireland was ranked the best place to live in the world, according to a "quality of life" assessment by Economist magazine. The country's combination of increasing wealth and traditional values gives it the conditions most likely to make its people happy, the survey found. These conditions include health, freedom, unemployment, family life, climate, political stability and security, gender equality and family and community life. The Economist said: "Ireland wins because it successfully combines the most desirable elements of the new, such as low unemployment and political liberties, with the preservation of certain cosy elements of the old, such as stable family and community life." In a 2003 European-wide survey by the BBC, questioning 11,200 residents of 112 urban and rural areas, Dublin was the best capital city in Europe to live in, and Ireland the most content country in Europe.we also retain a lot of our historic buildings and history and so the cultural ireland is still alive, with these and our diverse beautyful countryside i would say ireland!quote> As i've grown up in Ireland and spend summers in New York, i think i've had best of both worlds, I love Ireland its true my family in Ireland are all very close and there's nothing better then driving to the west (galway, dingle) for surfing and amazing views... but now im finishing college here i am actually moving to New York for a couple of years. I love the feeling of New York, it has a sort of energizing buzz, But then New York is very different form the rest of the U.S .. like when my mom comes to Ireland and is asked if she's american she always responds 'No New Yorker' -
