Cincinatti was just amazing, especially heading down I-71 ( I think) coming in from Covington, KY. I recently moved from Houston to Rochester, and this skyline was definintly the most awesome off all the major cities I drove through. However, my favirotes are probably NYC, or Toronto. But I said Cincinatti becuase I want to be unique.

I don't think it'll be as far as a step back as SC:S...but it's a step back...like going from SC4->SC3K, but then make the buildings look stupid. I think the core gameplay will be similar from as far I can tell. It would be nice if they could make that technology where you can draw roads to SC4, as making mountainous roads is to darn hard! Other then that, nothing intrigues me about this game. I don't' even think there will be mountains.

You're asking for a lot there. Their large complicated monstrosities to build. Start small, and look at pictures of airports and remember to draw from your own experiences. Remember that airports have *long runways* dozens of gates, terminals, area's for a food court, security, parking, etc,... A realistic one will take hours to build. I don't think there are any good tutorials out there, though I have considered making one.

Well, I watched a video on the conspiracy theories, and I have to say they are completely wrong on this. As mentioned before weakened metal was the cause. Key support columns were damaged which fueled the collapse, and I believe something about the structure of the building itself, on the bottom floors contributed as well. Anyways, if you look at slowed down videos of the collapse, and a while prior too the collapse. You'll notice the center of the building sags quite noticeably before finally giving way. Either way, demolitions of any kind would have been seen, people are not mindless drones, even if they are heading to work.

Thanks guys. About my stupid DIA/DEN mistake, I'm very used to using the four letter ICAO coding, so KDEN is what I'm used too, and since I didn't want to confuse people with the lesser known ICAO codes, I wanted to use the three letter IATA code, my mistake, I'll make sure to edit it. And the SAN/SFO thing is just pure stupidity on my part. Thanks for pointing that out guys.

Durlin World Center Airport Created almost at the midpoint of the United States this airport was named, against the usual naming system for airports, World Center, for its location and purpose, that being a major connection between international destinations that would otherwise be impossible, basically if you're going from London to Sydney you stop here, while becoming obsolete with modern aircraft it's still a popular destination for airlines around the world. And remember cities aren't perfect you should have poor areas as well as rich areas, and remember to conform to the terrain you're using.

Unfortuantly I find most cities in fact use a Grid system, it's getting the suburbs that is the tricky part, and that, imo, makes the most realistic looking city. Also Downtowns tend to still be gridded, but for some reason tend to be agaisnt the grid of the rest of the city.

Excellent work on that airport, good attention to detail, the only problem is spacing, the terminals(concourses) should be spaced further apart, as well as the runways, both of which, or at least one, should be extended. The use of the lights, and the markings on the runway are very well done. Except they should be in a different order, the aiming point is after the numbers. I believe it goes like this "L" "R" "C" "Numbers "Triple Lines" "Aiming Point" "Double Lines" "Single Lines" "Single Lines" "Single Lines" I'm not sure though.

Awesome airport...what's that hotel next to the Doubletree? I really like the set up and the parking lots are awesome, though I frown upon cessna's taking off from the same runway as a 747, but that's just nitpicking, I really think GA should stay off of large airports, leave it to the big jets. Anyways...awesome airport, the infrastructe is great, I give it a 5/5!

Thanks guys. Agreed, the terminals really do need some work, but I found it was the best I could do with the pieces I had, and since I know TNCM has four gates, that must be able to handle 747's I was really limited. I'll take some suggestions, I'll try to recreate an airport for anything you guys suggest! Do note, that the airport has to have straight runway(s). And I can't really create fancy terminals...like the one on DIA. Speaking of DIA, I'm not doing that one...or Mirabel.

As some of you may know, when I ended Defloyd I promised another AJ...well...after massive complications I've decided that the orginal plan would just not work, I"ll see if I can whip up another one in the near future...anywyas, the plan was to do airport recreations...and below is the brain child of that faliure...it's far to hard to get everything right, but here it is...the world famous TNCM, Princess Juliana, SXM airport in St. Marteen! Airport Facts: Runway: 09/27: 7,152 Feet Pax p/year: 1.66 million Opened: 1943 Elevation: 13 Ft The airport is famous for not only it's extremely short runway, at 7.152 feet, a 747 can just barely land there safely, but for it's location. Due to it being right on the beach, and being a very short runway, airplanes come in very very low right over relexing beach goers on Maho Beach. Located mere feet from the threshold of runway 9. From Above My best recreation of runway 09, note the trees would not be there, and the threshold and runway should actually be closer. The terminal, has 4 gates. The terminal itself was built a few years back and is part of a large master plan to expand the airport. The terminal area from another angle. KLM, up until this time last year, actually did fly this plane to TNCM, however now only Corsairfly does, most companies use the 757, or 767, while not as impressive as the 747, the view from Maho Beach is unrivavled for planespotters world wide. Attempting to map the complex taxi system at TNCM was harder then I thought, and this was the result. The poorly modeled turnaround at the end of the runway. From another angle. And another. I didn't build up around the airport, as that would have taken more time then I cared for. My runway is actually around 7, 400 feet, but who can tell right? The land mass is also not accurately modeled, but I did my best! This was my first recreation attempt ever! If I do more airport recreations, I'll be sure to post them here. Enjoy!

Thanks for the link, they may appear in a future project of mine. And I see that now that I looked at the pictures again, the runway should be long enough for a 737, but a 747 may need a little more space. Still, it's up to you, and nothing needs to be perfect.

Awesome airport, I'll avoid nitpicking about the runway length, anyways, where did you get that terminal building (biz jet) and those cargo buildings on the far right side of the air field?

SimHoTToDDy: Fantastic airport, the fact that its diagonal is awesome, I can see that being a world famous airport to land at. Just one thing, the buildings at the end of the runway are far to high you dont' want 747's in office buildings. Other then that I commend you on your fantastic work!

Consdiering how few things are actually made in America these days its hard to do that, not that it matters, if you buy anything from an American store the money will help the economy. It'll be money that'll go into peoples paychecks, it'll pay ulitily bills for the store, and the store can even buy other products to help resupply, which in turn will hopefully bring in the next person with their tax rebate to start the process again. So I plan on buying a big screen TV, well, I had planned on it, but we can't get dish network here, or any tv network anymore, so I'm probably going to put it away for college, which would not help the economy, until after it's already been helped. (If I get a tax rebate) I'm spending my tax return on...X-box 360...which may requrie the use of a hi-def TV.

While those are great for very powerful single engine planes, they still barely work, the airport shown here has 747's which would never land at one of those airports. Albeit very cool to land on a slope like that its just not going to work for a 747. Even if it did, it would not work for a fully operating international airport.

I love Princess Juiliana (TNCM), its a great airport, and was the basis for most of my reply, seeing the 747 would use pretty much the entire runway to take off. Not to worry though, while Air France does not run 747's to TNCM anymore, KLM does.
