I did indeed enjoy it! Great waterfalls and small town, I see we've returned to flat land. Does the highway lead to another city?
-
I love the amount of detail you have on the bricks--makes the building look so much grittier.

Great looking older suburb. The grid and well-grown trees go together quite well. -
Interesting idea. It seems like it would be easier to continue with doodles since you don't have to work endlessly on an entire region. Your snapshots are incredible! I especially like the "under construction" area, seeing as I live near Calgary's western edge where new houses are constantly under construction--many of which are unnecessarily large.

That's an amazing town! I especially like the suburbs and the university area.

Well we've never met on the site since you left before I joined, but I'm very sorry to hear about what happened. Good luck getting back on your feet, and I hope you can put together some great cities for us.

The CBD is very well planned, and I can't wait to see how the body of the city looks when it's filled in! Take your time. -
That's quite the pot o' gold. Do you have any with chocolate?

Wow, the map looks great. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Great scenery! I can *just* see the edge of civilization.
-
Great work on the projects. Still gritty, less upscale.

Loretto Valley: City Planning Underway

All right, I love New Urbanism! Though I don't think most New Urbanist communities use a grid. I'll be sure to see how it looks, I've got high hopes. Commuter suburbs are just awful and I know exactly where you're coming from. In Calgary, many major roads don't have sidewalks and have very high speed limits. It is one of the least walkable, worst designed cities in North America. Taking the bus is impossible and the city takes up as much space as greater New York...except with ugly single-family constructions inhabited by people who tend to violently oppose density and transit expansion. -
Great buildings in Ambassador's Village! Not much of a fan of Deal Or No Deal, though.
-
Wow, great scenery, Twenty! I haven't seen this journal in a while.
-
Wow, that is an amazing city! I only wish I had discovered your CJ sooner.
-
That is by far the greatest bridge-exclusive update I've ever seen.
-
Wow, the housing in the suburbs is great! I like how the buildings are one style, but there still isn't too much repetition. The business district is great too! Amazing job with all the scrapers.

Great looking city! -
Great industrial areas! I love the small town center as well.
-
The tower is gold, we need as many useful, unobtrusive BAT's like that as possible! As for the warehouse, I don't actually mind the roof texture. I think the roof may need more roofjunk, though.
-
Wow, that is an amazing downtown! It seems completely free of building repetition!
-
Good looking city you've got. I especially like the mall! Much better than the Maxis businesses.
-
Great looking city, it's very green and you certainly seem to love roundabouts. The only flaw is the zots on your marina. Otherwise it's great!

I'm surprised she was able to play a flaming tuba for as long as she did. Now THAT would be a sight.

Ah yes, historicalizing buildings really is time-consuming...but worth it so you don't have any pesky mansions coming and ruining your beautiful slums...that's always a pet peeve of mine. Great work on the bridges! I can only imagine how time-consuming that must have been, you're clearly more of a terraformer than I am.
