I've been gone awhile and recently decided to fire up the old Windows 7 laptop, since my Windows 10 laptop will not play SC4DE... no boxes still which is good, I made a mistake in consolidating many of the plugins years ago, need to find a way to delete them without screwing up my cities.

Just as I was heading home from work tonight to watch the eclipse, freakin' dense fog rolled, making it less than 1/4 mile visibility here in San Antonio

Unfortunately, the idea of HSR probably will sit on the shelf for while here in Texas, it was recently announced that the state is now facing a $20 Billion shortfall, for next years budget, any requests to the state for infrastructure spending will be 'killed' before it even reaches Austin; Here in San Antonio, the first leg of a light rail system on the NW side of town is already in the works and scheduled to be completed by 2012-2013 time frame, connecting NW of downtown towards the Medical Center Area along a route of Fredericksburg Rd, to the NW, however, once again leaving the center core of town, East side, southside, out of the loop. Light rail is nothing new obviously, and the past 10yrs, it has increased in usage, in places where it was deamed "Will Fail", DFW (dallas-ft- worth), are constantly expanding new lines. With San Antonio's population currently at 1.7Million (roughly 2M) countywide, it would be ideal, and our city would benefit greatly.

After a couple of 'relatively' cool days here in south Texas, temperatures reached into the upper 70's pushing to the low 80's by end of the weekend, overnight lows in the low to mid 60's, with light winds SE 5-10 mph. Seven Day outlook calls for the same prior to the Thanksgiving Day Weekend,. Temperatures will sharply drop and struggle to reach the low 60's on Friday, overnight low could see our first frost of the year. Recovering nicely in time for the weekend upper 60's to 70, mid 40's at night.- 1,730 Replies

If SC4 was dead, would we even be talking about it 8 years after is was first released? How many games does anyone know of that continue to get more playing time? SCS is and was a bad joke, pretty sad you can find the game in the Dollar bin at Dollar General or Family Dollar stores, but SC4 is still the same price is was when it first came out $20! Thats what you call staying power.

As long as the .exe file doesn't get screwed with, something like a 'teleporter device' is possible, however not practical yet.

I've been looking for this for quite some time, thanks for the link

Mosque to be built by Ground Zero, NYC (Poll)
Albatross Domain replied to x493x's topic in Current Events
Here's the problem, we in this country talked freedom of speech, religion, this proposed mosque is further away than a half dozen strip clubs which are only 2 blocks away, and off-site betting parlor one block away, this site being proposed is more than 2 blocks away... Since when has a gambling joint, and Park Ave. Gentleman's Club be "sacred" or "hollowed" ground? We are going backwards more often than forward. -
as of 0202 CDT (0702 GMT)- I have been waiting to finish the downloading of RTMT 3.605... it's started roughly 1.5hrs ago stalled at a little more than 5.0MB of 6.1MB, now it's telling me I have 29mins left? Obviously something is not right here... I'm still able to view videos and watch TV, without interruption. If I even think about refreshing... it will not resume. Edit::: terminated download... just hope I don't end up with the "Box" flu.

Worst City Planning
Albatross Domain replied to LivingInThePast's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
Most of those pics you posted are slightly OLD, that interchange is completed, however the interchange I-35 @ N Walters is Awesome, in regards to the south entrance of Ft Sam Houston... but Loop 410 at Broadway/ Nacodoches is still a mess, same for N Foster Road south of FM-78 . -
It took awhile to download it... now I am anxious to try it out.... the DDI, is especially intriguing --- there was a modified one in Tacoma, WA the was built about 10 yrs ago at the intersection of SR 16 at 19th St. en route to the the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, which was notorious back in the day, of constant traffic jams... way to go!

Earthquake across Ontario, Quebec and New York
Albatross Domain replied to torontosubway's topic in Current Events
ITs obvious not everyone in the area felt it, however according to the USGS- the fault line in that area runs NW to SE- its not unheard of to have an occasional 6.0, that last one at that magnitude that caused significant damage was 1732, most recently in 1935. the shake map also revealed the quake was relatively "shallow" 12 miles deep below the surface, reports came from as far away as north Florida. -
Correcting traffic lights etc on wrong side of road
Albatross Domain replied to bhafc25's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
I might add, until 1979 Okinawa, Japan did drive on the Right side of the road, for nearly two years when the change over began, it wasn't unusual to find stoplights still working on the right side--- however it went without its accidents. -
Many urban areas are slowly coming back from the brink, a Renaissance of sorts in many places even despite high costs of living... however many large cities are actually bucking the trends in terms of suburbia. San Antonio-Austin the IH-35 corridor keeps getting larger by the day, but so are the areas Bexar County (the seat in which San Antonio resides in). We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, and not just McDonald's type jobs either... Just moving back to the area, I now have 2 fulltime jobs. Something I couldn't imagine in Indiana.
