Hey guys, My city is roughly around 125,000, predominantly medium wealth residential. I have a good mix between medium and high wealth commercial, and a booming high-tech industry. I can't seem to get rid of high wealth residential! I set their tax bracket up to 20%, medium wealth near 0.0%, and still, high wealth seems to move in. Safety, education, fire protection, environment, etc are all maximized. Any suggestions?

Can't get rid of high wealth residential
bbfan02 replied to bbfan02's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
The R$$$ demand is the highest it can go, there are about 54,000 commercial jobs, mostly high wealth commercial office. There are about 118,000 high tech jobs. There are three cities surrounding the one, all filled with commercial areas satisfying residents on the edge of the 125,000 person city. -
OSWEGO City Population: 4,240 Sea Level: The city is at sea level, (but some parts 3 or 4 feet) Demographics: All flat land, one lake in the middle.(Called Cusak Lake) History Oswego was settled on May 4th, 1798 by a person named Joseph F. Oswego. He used the piece of land the canal town now stands on as plantations and slaves worked there before the south outlawed it later in time. Not much of the land changed until the late 1950's when demand skyrocketed. Much of the plantations are not there anymore and in places of them, there is a suburban small canal town. Not much development on the land now, but demand for it is rising rapidly. The two major roads are Henderson Avenue and Hilton Head Blvd. Shown below are some pictures around town:

Can you do another review on my cj? You have done a review in the beginning of it before it came a showcase. I think I improved that a lot. -

How to successfully start a large city and/or region
bbfan02 posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hi, I have just started a new region and I just need some help starting it off. I use the cheats for no water (howdryiam) power (fightthepower) and unlock all rewards (you don't deserve it). i also use the super demand modd, which doesnt seem to help. What should I use or do, to successfully start a city and see some growth? Thanks, -bbfan02- -
Yea, to make it more realistic.

I will make this city my new cj as soon as I have time to upload it and start a new thread.

Do you think I should make this into a city journal?
-
I've seen that name as a street name in some cities. But, mainly in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Hey everyone, and finally I had time to try to fool around with those pieces to make a canal. I never did this before and I think I got the hang of it. My plan is to make a winding canal through my city. Heres 2 pictures of my work-in-progress canal...... What do you think?

Thanks everyone! I am (believe it or not) still downloading material. I am almost at the point of downloading a whole new region and then I could start creating cities. -bbfan02-
