ok so I tested Sim mars beta 3 in linux SC4... and first of all your program couldn't find the sc4 documents folder's location (wine should have told it where it was) the only difference was that it was looking for my documents/sc4 instead of user/sc4 so.... you might want to make that user set able other than that the terrain seemed to load fine... but I couldn't get the mods to work independently of the program you set them up with. mostly what happened was that the terrain loaded fine, region loaded fine, text was missing, everything was missing from the menu's exept for the images on the GUI (not linux problem as it didn't happen before the mod) so yeah... that's about it. other than that though it works good... I'm trying beta 2 just to be sure it isn't a general bug... will report back on results EDIT: Ok so I have DL and tested beta 2 and it works fine... a glitch here and there but nothing un expected I'm posting images as proof EDIT: beta 3 shows up like the image I discribed at the beginning of this post... I couldn't get the program to load Sim mars Beta 3 the normal way so I just put the plugins into the plugins folder... however I'm checking the main SC4 dir to see if there is a folder there as well that I need to transfer... here is a pic of the problem atm If I try to open a city the game crashes back to desktop.

good advice A nony ,moose, though I think that he was trying to use the load as an app function which is still buggy. it is my experience that using a dual boot is much safer, so long as you back up first . but in a case like this, without an XP disc... I would recommend moving to ubuntu as at this point it does everything I need it to and windows just sits there for the games that won't work under wine

ok well I guess it's time for a new topic inside the Anime/manga area.... how about... favorite moments in anime?

well I guess since it's not added yet I will add yet another anime Cowboy bebop: it's a great anime where in the year 2022 a disastrous accident destroys the moon and the fragments make the earth pretty much uninhabitable. now in the year 2071 the series starts off with a group of bounty hunters called cowboys aboard a ship they call bebop and they go around capturing bounties as well as trying to live with their pasts. the main characters of the series are Spike Spiegel: a former member of the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate Spike is a master of Firearms and hand to hand combat. he is also a skilled pilot and flies a sleek custom designed red mono racer atmosphere capable craft called swordfishII. Jet Black: a former Inner Solar System Police officer and owner of the bebop he was once called the black dog by his fellow officers for his relentless nature. he left the ISSP after being fed up with the corruption and red tape of the organization and turned to bounty hunting as a way to pursue justice. Faye Valentine: A femme Fatal with serious skill at gambling. she stows away on the bebop and joins the crew. much to the chagrin of Jet and Spike. though she leaves the ship several times during the series but her attachment to the crew always brings her back. she pilots a generic heavy spacecraft called Red Tail which is yellow and has been heavily modified with armament and tracking sensors. Edward: a young eccentric computer genius and master hacker. Ed is a girl though her appearance suggests otherwise. she tracked and followed the travels of the bebop long before encountering the ship and agrees to help the crew track down a bounty-head in exchange for becoming a member of the crew. though her intelligence far exceeds that of the crew she tends to act like a child. Ein: a former lab animal Identified as a Data Dog by the scientists who created him. the reason for this is never explained but it is suggested that he possesses superior intelligence he shows this throughout the series by speaking to other animals (and possibly Ed) and perfectly hacking the scratch Website. despite his enhanced intelligence and comprehension the rest of the crew (with the exception of Ed) tend to not notice these qualities and treat him as a common pet dog. Vicious: the main antagonist and grim enforcer of the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate: a former friend of spike's and now his sworn nemesis. Vicious sports an emaciated, embittered look. he wields a katana for a weapon and is always accompanied by a strange crow like bird perched on his shoulder. he lives up to his name through his violent actions and his two faced scheming within the syndicate.

ok... well im my expeirence there was a change at the book stores and whatnot so the best place to look for manga would be in the graphic novels section... I usually frequent borders and Barns & noble. for anime... im not sure ? but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try a video rental store?
