Crystal City | The End of the World is Just the Beginning

Wow im still getting through the plot in this cj, but the architecture and the storyline to go with it is incredible. -
Awesome effort on the update there, good imagination with the reporter taking us through the images and what they entail. A bit unlucky with the fire there. Also when you said "OK, if anybody is interested, I could do with a little interaction... if you have a megalopolis, of tower blocks, traffic jams and public strife, I need someone to help me envisage Kazeth and Nerolt." I may be able to help you out there. I have made a city for a future update on my own cj that has a population of 2 million, if your interested in looking at a picture of it, just pm me and i can arrange to send it to you. im a bit uncomfortable posting it here. Also if you have read the book "1984" by george orwell, it has a very good description of a dilapidated and dingy "alternate reality" London megalopolis that might also suit the requirements of Kazeth or Nerolt, if you havent it can be found on wikipedia. Lastly, thats awesome curvature on the rail track and im really curious as to how you did that??

by removing the radio folder altogether, i cut load time to 30 secs!!! thanks for the advice given here
-
it takes me about a couple minutes to load up the game, then another couple to load a large city of about 1.8 million. Im gonna test a few of the ideas thrown about here and get back to u guys on load time

Great start, im in the same boat as you with my CJ, still defining my own style. Love the terraforming and the clumps of highrises and skyscrapers, particularly the couple shown above. One suggestion, when taking photos you should minimize your control menu by clicking the little white box in the lower left hand corner of the screen to hide it. Also you can get rid of those nasty car zots by pressing Ctrl X and typing tazytots. good work though, and where to you get those coloured lights from? -
Thats some awesome effort gone into hand terraforming the region, congrats on that. The little community you have established with the distant major employer...Dreyson Lumberstock ... is pretty atypical of some the communities i leave near in australia good work there.

Love the rich neighbourhoods in farview, particularly the one surrounding the miniature CBD in the nightshot, also the streets with the brick sidewalks lined by trees is a nice touch, good job. Also where does everybody get those tall pine trees from?
