Was there a one-way-road over rail (either as a cross-street or as a plop tile for the mainline) for the road-over-rail dual network mod?
-
So I installed a bunch of plugins last week, the last batch I really had planned to install for this particular project. But the game keeps crashing -

Is it possible to use the terrain generator now? That was always my biggest gripe about the situation.

When Las Vegas' new monorail isn't raining tires on cars below, it's been quite an effective mass transit option. But, part of it's beauty is it takes no right of way. 80% of its length is street-top. Has anyone modded/tried to mod monorails so they can be placed on top of streets?

Anybody had any problems with SG's train stations? Mine have capacities of less than 5.

So I couldn't resist the urge & bought a Mac Mini duo. I have no high expectations, but I do hope that the damn thing runs SC4 better than my 867 mhz G4 with 512 mb of ram....

I never had a problem with a Mac-orola. The Mactel mac has been the sore spot. Any ETA on the Universal version?
-
I would not try it on a MacMini. My 1.66 GHz Duo w/ 1Gig ram won't even boot the damn thing. It's been a month since I played, and I'm afraid I'm just going to have to wait until my *next* computer purchase.

Day Two: Any time I click an action button (open city, region control panel, etc), the game unexpectedly quits. Aspyr offers no help.

Results? Inconclusive. It ain't great, but it's not worse than the old G4. Now of Aspyr will port the damn thing...

Official Mapping Community Requests

My request is for a scale map of the Westgard Pass area of eastern California: http://www.terraserver-usa.com/image.aspx?T=2&S=15&Z=11&X=63&Y=644&W=3 If possible, maybe amplify the elevations a little bit pre-render so that they play a more realistic role in city planning than a straight conversion would... after all, you're talking about a 2000 foot elevation climb to the pass from the valley, and even higher for the surrounding mountains. -

Aspyr's website says SC4 Deluxe is in Final Candidate. This makes me wonder: 1) If this is simply a bundle of RH and SC4, why did we pay $45 for each when they're just going to charge probably $50 for the whole package? 1b) If this is simply a bundle, what the hell took so long? 2) If this includes special content, do they actually expect us to buy the Deluxe Edition too? Anybody heard any other details on this timely innovation from the state-of-the-art folks at Aspyr?

Just like so many other things done at parties, the bump wasn't worth it in the morning.

I've tried a new experiment - building a chain of parallel islands that straddle the city division lines in medium cities - so each city has a strip of land, a channel and another strip of land. On one strip I put residential and commercial, and on antoher I put industrial facilities. Sure enough, people are commuting over to the industrial areas at a rate of about 500-800 per town. But more - up to 4000 by the end of the chain - are commuting aimlessly around the region to a ferry terminal, then disappearing when they go to the next town down the chain.
-
That's alright, it's worth clarifying that I'm referring to a Mac version of Deluxe.

Bump. Actually, just wanted my 100th post. Sorry.
