I wonder what lies behind the uncharted borders.
  2. Show us your Seaport!

webmaster76: That is an excellent port! You've really thought the functions through, and the placement of the different facilities is perfectly realistic. The terraforming of the Petroleum Harbour is... well, stunning! You might want to download some of the newer port BAT:s for more diversity, but other than that... WOW!
  3. The Headwaters of Nemonos

That's a great logo and jersey! I'd build the stadium in the "highlands" and add a local midrise commercial distrikt around it.
  4. Crazy's Collection of Cities

I like the way you use midrises. It's extremly realistic. And the little japanese shopping center is wonderful (maybe not as realistic, but a very nice touch). Edit: My 300th post... hmmmm... I guess the voices in my head told me to save it for your marvelous CJ!
  5. Schulmania

Lots and lots of men in tights... Happy Schulman Day!
  6. Windsor Park

Hehe! It's the Globe Arena (I can almost see the real version looking out the window). Everything looks very good. Keep it up!

Actually, this looks much more interesting than the real history of

OK. That is probably the issue, yes. I wanted to realign some of the city tiles because I did a little custom fine tuning to the map, but I should propbably just open all of the tiles in SC4 first. I can't get TF to load on my comp (a DivX conflict of some sort) so I'm using the mapper you created to generate the files. Otherwise I would have made the changes I wanted in terraformer instead. Thanks!

Thank you for the Stockholm map too! I did, however, discover some reconciliation issues with it. It seems the city tiles won't align with eachother, and when I use the reconcile button it creates a cliff on the edge of the city map. I'm using the terraformer-file. Any idea as to what causes this?
  10. Schulmania

Yay! I won a prize! Happy Schulman Day, everyone!
  11. NHP Stockhomes Pack

You have outdone yourself this time H. All those small waterways are amazing!

Wow! That looks excellent. The architecture really looks like it belongs together. Good job!

Hmmmmm.... missing post bug? Edit: Sorry for doubleposting!

I love the guys rolling by on wheel chairs outside the hanging gardens! Great update! Edit: Welcome to page 25!
  15. Demeter

I haven't been here before, but I have to say that this looks really good. A lot of nice layouts, the density is good, and a very nice choice of BAT:s. Keep it up!

It's awesome! I've just been playing around with it for now, but it looks really good. Here's an example of it with the painted desert terrain mod that I just had to show you: There are some strange "wrinkles" in some places on the biggest island but that should be easy for me to smooth out. Everything else is near perfect. That island in the bottom right corner is my favorite. You rule!
  18. NHP Canaria Island Pack

Excellent. I'm downloading this right now. Thanks a bunch!
  19. The Barbary Coast

This is a really interesting and beautiful CJ you've got going here. Can't wait to see how it develops.

Last page ratings: Jester2222: Nothing wrong the city, but the picture quality isn't very good. So, only a 3/10. Get the quality up and I'll be happy to uprate it though. 112233: Awesome structuring. A little to much with the green (just a tad though) so 8/10 got that one. Gridlock: Very good. 8/10 ILL Tonkso: lol. What's with the 14 pedestrians anyway? El Burro: Excellent building and excellent photoshopping. 9/10 112233: Ohhh... and much better colours too. 9/10 Gridlock: I liked the first one better. Not much action in this one. Still good though. 7/10 112233: It's really good, but kinda lacks life to it. 7/10 seemurray2: So much going on there that I really love. The colours are a little dull, but I won't bother with that since the rest is so good. 9/10 My contribution:

Thank you so much, and take all the time you need. I'm just grateful for your efforts!
  22. Shadow Assassin's Ensenada. Discover the mystery.

*drops dead I already posted my opinions on your map over in the "Show us..." section, and I have nothing to add. The. Best. Map. Ever.
  23. Show us your city, road or transit maps!

OK, I'll just go ahead and say it then: I have NEVER seen a better SC4 map than that Shadow_Assassin! Simple as that... it's the best. May I ask how you manage to render such smooth "coast lines" around the river. Did you draw the all by hand or could you manage to render them from the region shot (because I've had huge problems rendering decent coast lines myself)?
  24. NHP Fictional Maps Thread

Hello there mastermapper! I really like your Metroix map (and as you know I'm using it for my current CJ). Do you still take requests? If you do I would like two different maps. 1. Fantasy version of the Canary Islands This is what they really look like: But I want something more like this: I would like the size to be 10 x 10 large city tiles. The terrain should be mountainas but possible to build on. Some flat terrain in 2-3 places along the coasts of the bigger islands for medium cities. The rest will be used for villages and nature. And a large volcano in the middle of the biggest island (about 1.500 meters high if possible). 2. Fantasy version of Stockholm This map can be accurate to scale, but I want a more building friendly terrain since I'm going for a big city here. It shouldn't be completly flat, more like rolling low hills, but I need to be able to make a proper downtown. I would also like a real coastline at the right of the map so some of the islands will have to be removed. Here's an overview of the area: A little closer: And a link to a full scale road map of the area. Edit: the road map only shows the central parts of the city. I want the full area as seen in the first picture. I'll go look for a better map. This map should probably be 7x8 large city tiles for an accurate scale. The area is app. 35x30 km (23x20 miles) in real life. ---------- If you could make one or both of these maps I would be really, really grateful. As I said: I'm not looking for accurate remakes, but rather buildingfriendly versions of the places.
  25. Borden, 'The Little Island City'

Hithere! First time around here for me, and I must say it was worth the while. Lovely pictures of the theme park, and the downtown looks awesome. Very realistic spacing between the buildings. I'll be back for more.
