Getting Windows 98 Games To Run On XP
Junkerscrack replied to Sim1013's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Originally posted by: N_O_Body Originally posted by: NicolaiS Originally posted by: Constantina Just to point out that I remember Windows 98 being made out of a different form of technology called 'shell' (not the petrol company). Windows XP is made from 'NT' technology. Vista is likely to be made out of 'NT' too. I sometimes make assumptions that if programs can run on Windows 2000, then I assume it will run on XP, as it is made on the same technology (NT).quote> a hint about making assumptions: DON'T ... they screw-up your relationships.quote> ...and if you can believe what microshaft is saying, Vista is brand new. It should be, because XP is a mish mash of all the prior junk.quote> Vista Isnt brand new it is based off WinXP64 and Server2003 -
