I'm not particularly religious nor political (and I see a lot of hidden politics in this subject even though it's not spoken). I'm used to mostly Christmas traditions, but I'm basically for whatever is fun and harmless. My office is huge and I'm used to seeing all of the holidays observed this time of the year. I try to remember who observes what but I don't think most of us are successful. At the Real Life Bureau of Bureaucracies I've seen Holidays and whatever particular used interchangeably. I have yet to have anyone in Real Life tell me "No, it's Hannukah, not Holiday or Christmas" or "No, it's Kwanzaa, not..." (And my boss celebrates that one!) , We just basically get along with whatever we do a I try to regulate everything else! I have never had anyone tell in me in Real Life, in my job or anywhere else "No, it's 'Merry Christmas" not 'Happy Holidays'" nor "No it's 'Happy Holidays' not 'Merry Christmas'" So the response to saying "Holiday Banner" in the other thread caught me a little off-guard. Again, I'm used to saying Christmas and Happy Holidays interchangeably. The responses came across to me as being politically correct in the christian-right direction, so I wondered if there were other issues at stake. I can understand the backlash given how religion is being pushed out of the day. I just didn't expect to be in the crosshairs of the backlash over what I thought was an innocent statement. If there is not fun at stake in a place like this then I don't take sides nor even care about these things! (and don't try to peg me as someone who has a side! But, the slamming aside, this is a fun and (shhhh educational ) discussion!

I see a size 44 suit going to a size 46 in just one day!
