Keeping your city from being erased under water in SimCity 3000

Have you ever tried to load a city, but all you get is a big landform of 100% water? This once happened to me, and it is not a lot of fun. As far as I know, there is no way to get your city back, but you CAN prevent it from happening.

Here is the big culprit: disk cleanup. NEVER do disk cleanup, as it will "erase" the last city you were working on. If you run out of disk space while playing SC3K, a window will pop up and ask you if you want to use disk cleanup. Click "No" and manually free up space on your hard drive.

Now, you should not worry about having your city erased under the sea.
