Central Acer, with a population of almost 500,000 people, is Acer's well-known urban core. Three highways cut through this part of the city: Interstate 1 running north-south, Interstate 3 running east-west, and Spur 1 which tunnels through the famed Sky District. Acer was founded in the "Historic Downtown" area, where a small town of about 15 blocks was founded in 1890.
